Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes only). Note:- Applications submitted by candidates other than Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes will be rejected. Individual communication regarding the rejection of their applications will not be issued.

18 - 41 Candidates born between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Note:- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit, the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.

Passed Standard VII. But should not have acquired any graduation.

(i) The selection pursuant to this notification will be subject to the rules amended as per G.O.(P) No.12/2016/P&ARD dated 04.06.2016. (ii) The vacancies reported for this selection are existing and separate Ranked List will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new list is published after the expiry of the minimum period of one year. Vacancies arising in the above departments during the period of validity of the Ranked List will be filled up from the said list for Special Recruitment for SC/ST. Vacancies arising exclusively for SC/ST will be filled up from this list. If there is a dearth of ST candidates in the list, vacancies reserved exclusively for them will be advertised separately. But the said list will be in force for a maximum period of 3 years from the date of finalisation of the ranked list and no appointment shall be made from the list after the expiry of three years, either one person is advised or alternatively till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. (iii) Candidates shall apply to any one district only and note the name of the district in the column provided for the purpose. Applications should not be sent more than once. If applications are sent more than once, it will be summarily rejected and disciplinary action will be taken against the candidate. (iv) Appointment from the ranked list prepared for Headquarters vacancies will be made from the Thiruvananthapuram district starting from the Headquarters vacancies arising in the office of the Heads of Departments as per the Government Order (MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Consent letter is not necessary for this. The provisions of GO(P) 27/13/PD dated 28.09.2013 will be applicable to such candidates. (v) The selection pursuant to this notification will be made on district basis, subject to the special conditions contained in G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A person who gets appointment in a district from the ranked list prepared on district basis has to start service in that district and shall not be transferred to another district within five years from the date of commencement of continuous service in that district. Transfer from that district to another district after 5 years shall be subject to the rules in G.O.(MS) No. 4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates now working in Government service in the same post in one district are not permitted to apply for the same post in another district. But they can apply for a higher post.
