Direct Recruitment.
Age Limit
18-44. Candidates born between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation will be given to SC/ST and Other Backward Communities.
Qualifications
1. SSLC or equivalent qualification. 2. Must have successfully completed a three-year training course in General Sick Nursing. 3. If the candidate is female, must have successfully completed a training course in Midwifery of not less than 9 months in an institution recognized by the Kerala State Government. If the candidate is male, must have successfully completed a short-term course in any one of the nursing subjects of Venereology, Urology, Psychiatry, or Ophthalmology in a major hospital. Note: Females who have successfully completed a training course in Midwifery of not less than 6 months are eligible for appointment subject to reservation rules. Females who have successfully completed a training course in Midwifery of not less than 9 months will be given preference for direct recruitment. 4. Certificate of registration as Nurse and Midwife if the candidate is female, or as Nurse if the candidate is male, from the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council.
Notes
(i) Candidates can apply for this post in any one district only and must record the name of the district in the specified column of the application. (ii) The selection will be made district-wise as per G.O.(MS) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A person who gets an appointment in a district from the ranked list prepared district-wise will not be allowed a transfer to any other district for five years from the date of commencement of service. (iii) Candidates who are already in Government service in this post in any district are not eligible to apply for this notification. However, they can apply for higher/lower posts. (iv) Candidates registered with other State or Central Nursing and Midwives Councils can apply for this post, but they must register with the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council before accepting the appointment under the Kerala State Government. (v) Differently abled candidates are not eligible for this post. (vi) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable to this selection. (vii) Candidates must read the general conditions in Part II of the Gazette notification along with this notification.
