18-36. Candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. SC/ST and other backward communities are eligible for usual age relaxation. In no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 years.

1. Plus Two pass or equivalent qualification. 2. Lower Grade Certificate in English Typewriting (KGTE) & Computer Word Processing or equivalent qualification. Note: Those who have passed KGTE Typewriting English before January 2002 should acquire Computer Word Processing Certificate or equivalent qualification before the last date of application for the above post. 3. Lower Grade Certificate in Malayalam Typewriting (KGTE) or equivalent qualification.

Note: (i) The vacancies reported are currently existing. The Ranked List prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years. If a new Ranked List is published for the same post after one year, the current list will cease to be in force. Appointments will be made from the said list against the vacancies reported and pending and also against the vacancies that may be reported during the currency of the list. (ii) The Kerala Public Service Commission reserves the right to cancel any advice for appointment if it is found to be incorrect. If the advice is cancelled, the appointing authority shall terminate the service of the candidate. However, such termination shall be within the probation period or 240 days of joining, whichever is earlier. (iii) 3% of the vacancies are reserved for differently abled candidates (Hearing Impairment, Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy) as per GO(P)No.1/13/SJD dated 03.01.2013. (iv) Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS& SSR is applicable. (v) Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce the Government Order proving the equivalency at the time of verification. (vi) In case of any difference in caste recorded in SSLC book, candidates should produce the caste certificate/non-creamy layer certificate and relevant gazette notification at the time of verification. (vii) Candidates who submit false claims regarding education, experience, etc., and fail to appear for the exam after giving confirmation will face disciplinary action as per Rule 22 of KPSC Rules of Procedure 1976.
