Age Limit
1) 18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities. Note:- Maximium age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (Fifty) years subject to the condition that the upper age limit is relaxed in terms of general conditions given in Part II of the Gazette Notification.
Qualifications
i) Must have passed VII Standard (New) or equivalent examination. ii) Madras Government Technical Examination (MGTE) or Kerala Government Technical Examination (KGTE) (Lower) in Book Binding. Note :- i) In the absence of qualified hands those who have got 18 months experience in Book Binding in a Government Department or in a Registered Institution will be considered. Their proficiency in Book Binding should be proved in a practical test conducted by the PSC. 1. The term 'Registered Institution' means Institutions registered under Companies Act, or Charitable Societies Act, or Co-operative Societies Act, or SSI prior to register with Small Scale Industries Units or any other institution/company/society/unit having appointment validity under any Act recognized by Government. The certificate to prove experience should be in the format given below. [Name of the Institution (Company/Corporation/Government Department/Co-operative Institutions etc.) Register Number (Small Scale Industries Registration Number or any other Registration Number) Date of Registration].
Notes
i) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. ii) Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce the relevant Government Order along with Gazette notification and produce the same to the Commission when called for verification. iii) 4% of the total vacancies are reserved for Differently Abled candidates (Locomotor disability/Cerebral palsy, Low vision, Hearing impairment). iv) Punishments as per KPSC Rules of procedure Rule 22 for false claims.
