18 - 41. Candidates must be born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included). In the case of qualified candidates within the specified age limit, relaxation up to 50 years is allowed. However, in no case shall it exceed 50 years.

Diploma in Food Technology with at least Second Class. OR Degree in Chemistry with at least Second Class. Note: Preference will be given to those with Food Technology qualification. OR Post Graduate Diploma in Food Analysis and Quality Assurance from the Defence Food Research Laboratory under the University of Mysore. OR Post Graduate Diploma in Food Analysis and Quality Assurance from any UGC recognized University or from institutions established by the Government of India or Government of Kerala.

1. KS&SSR part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable regarding qualifications. 2. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce Government order proving the equivalency at the time of verification. 3. In case of difference in caste details in SSLC book, candidates must claim the correct caste in the application and produce the caste certificate from the concerned Revenue Authority and the relevant Gazette notification at the time of verification. 4. Candidates claiming experience must upload the experience certificate in the prescribed format from the Commission's website in their profile. 5. Applications from candidates not belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be rejected without notice. 6. The rank list prepared will be valid for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. If a new rank list is published after one year, the current list will cease to be valid. 7. Candidates must confirm their participation in the written/OMR/online examination through their One Time Registration profile. Only those who confirm will be able to download the admission ticket in the last 15 days before the exam date. 8. Candidates must keep a soft copy/print out of the online application for future use. 9. Any false claims regarding education or experience will lead to disciplinary action under KPSC Rules of Procedure Rule 22.
