Qualifications
a. Educational Qualification: Graduation Note 1: Rule 10 (a) ii of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. Note 2: Candidates who claim equivalent qualifications instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant government order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned. Note 3:In the case of difference in original caste/community claimed in the applications and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a gazette notification in this regard along with Caste certificate issued by the competent revenue authority, at the time of certificate verification. b.: Physical Qualification: Should be Physically fit. Candidates should possess minimum physical standards as prescribed below. (i) Height : 150 cm (c) Candidates must be certified to possess the visual standards specified without glasses. Left Eye: 6/6 Snellen (Distant), 0.5 Snellen (Near) Right Eye: 6/6 Snellen (Distant), 0.5 Snellen (Near) (d) Candidates should produce a medical certificate in original at the time of Certificate Verification in the form prescribed hereunder certifying to their physical fitness and eyesight without glasses obtained from a Medical officer not below the rank of a Civil Surgeon. (e) Military Training, Membership of NCC, Sports etc will be considered as additional qualification. (f) In addition to the qualification prescribed above every candidate will be subjected to a Physical Efficiency Test. The Physical Measurement of the candidates will be taken at the time of Physical Efficiency Test and those who do not possess the prescribed Physical Measurements will not be admitted for the Physical Efficiency Test. (g) Physical Efficiency Test for Female Candidates: Female Candidates should qualify any of the five events out of the eight specified events of the test of one star standards shown below: 1. 100 Metres Run (17 Seconds), 2. High Jump (1.06 Metres), 3. Long Jump (3.05 Metres), 4. Putting the Shot (4 Kg) (4.88 Metres), 5. 200 Metres Run (36 Seconds), 6. Throwing the Throw ball (14 Metres), 7. Shuttle Race (4x25 Metres) (26 Seconds), 8. Skipping (One minute) (80 Times).
Notes
The above Vacancy is now in existence. The Ranked list of selected candidates published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year. Recruitment will be made for the above vacancies and also for the vacancies reported for Special Recruitment from Scheduled Tribe only during the pendency of the list. Note: If accidents or injuries happen to a candidate while participating in the Physical Efficiency Test, he/she will not be given further chance to participate in the test. 8 Training :- Every person appointed under this post shall undego training for a period of 1 year in the Police Training College and Practical Training for 10½ months in the district as per syllabus. 9 Pay During the Training Period:- During the period of Training candidates shall be paid minimum of the scale of pay plus usual allowance attached to the post. 10 Probation:- Every person appointed under this rule shall, from the date on which she completes practical training be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. 11. Mode of submitting Applications: Candidates must register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION' with the Official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.gov.in' before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered shall apply by logging in to their profile using their User- ID and password. Candidates must click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification link to apply for a post. Name of the candidate and the date of photograph taken should be printed legibly at the bottom portion of the Photograph uploaded. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall be valid for 10 years from the date of uploading of the photograph. There is no change in other instructions regarding the uploading of photograph. No application fee is required. Candidates can view the details in their profile by clicking the link Registration Card in their profile. A printout of the same can be taken if needed. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before final submission of the application on the profile, candidates must ensure correctness of the information in their profile. They must quote the User-ID for further communication with the commission. Applications once submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission. Applications will be summarily rejected if non compliance with the notification is found in due course of processing. Documents to prove Qualification, experience, community, age etc. have to be produced as and when called for. 14 Paragraphs two, three and twenty five (except the conditions laid down in the Rule 3 (C) of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules) are not applicable to this selection. 15 Appointment are made on the basis of the rank position in the ranked list of candidates prepared in pursuance of this notification subject to the conditions laid down in G.O.(P) No. 21/76/PD dated, 17.01.1976 and G.O.(P) No.25/94/GAD dated, 22.01.1994 allowing special reservations to Scheduled Tribes in accordance with the procedures made for this purpose from time to time and subject to the rules under sections 3(c), 17(a), 17(b) of Part II of Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958. 16 If written /OMR/Online Test is conducted as part of the selection, candidates shall submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration. Such candidates alone can generate and download the Admission Tickets in the last 15 days till the date of Test. The applications of candidates who do not submit confirmation within the stipulated period, will be rejected absolutely. The periods regarding the submission of confirmation and the availability of Admission Tickets will be published in the Examination calendar itself. Information in this regard will be given to the candidates in their respective profiles and in the mobile phone number registered in it. 17 As per Rule 22 of the KPSC Rules of Procedure 1976, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against those candidates who submit application for the post with bogus claims of prescribed qualification, experience etc. and give confirmation for examination irrespective of whether they have appeared or not for the examination.
