18-39. Candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual relaxation in upper age limit is applicable to candidates belonging to Other Backward Communities and SC/ST categories. Note: The upper age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (fifty) years. For special relaxations, refer to Part II of the General Conditions of this notification.

1. Certificate in Automobile Engineering after passing ITI course of 18 months duration followed by 6 months compulsory in-plant training. 2. Two years practical experience in the repair and maintenance of motor vehicles in a recognized automobile workshop. 3. Must possess a Motor Driving License. Note: i) The experience mentioned in item 2 must be acquired after obtaining the Automobile Engineering certificate. ii) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable for this selection. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the Government Order proving the equivalency at the time of verification. iii) Candidates must possess a valid driving license at all stages of the selection process including OMR/Online test, practical test/interview.

i) A rank list will be prepared for Kozhikode district only. The list will remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum of three years. If a new rank list is published for the same post in the same district after one year, the current list will cease to be in force. Appointments will be made from the list for the vacancies reported during the validity period. ii) Selection is district-wise as per G.O (M.S) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Candidates appointed cannot be transferred to any other district for five years from the date of commencement of service. After five years, transfers are subject to G.O (M.S) 4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already working in the same post in the same department in any district are not eligible to apply. iii) Candidates must apply to the district where the vacancy is reported. iv) In case of any discrepancy in caste/community recorded in SSLC book, candidates must claim the correct caste/community in the application and produce the caste certificate/non-creamy layer certificate issued by revenue authorities and relevant gazette notification at the time of OTR verification. v) Candidates must upload the scanned image of the experience certificate. All experience certificates must be countersigned by the concerned controlling officer/head of office in Government service. False certificates will lead to legal action. vi) Candidates must provide confirmation for the examination through their OTR profile. Only those who provide confirmation will be issued admission tickets. vii) Candidates who provide confirmation but fail to appear for the examination will be subject to disciplinary action as per KPSC Rules of Procedure Rule 22.
