Age Limit

18-43. Candidates born between 02.01.1978 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. (For other conditions regarding age relaxation, refer to the general conditions in Part 2 of the notification). Note: The upper age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.

Qualifications

1) Pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. OR Pass in Pre-degree examination conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala or any examination recognized by any such Universities in Kerala as equivalent to Pre-degree examination. OR Pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala or any other examination recognized by Government as equivalent thereto. 2) Pass in TTC (Kannada) examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 3) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption: Candidates who have acquired CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the relevant subject or M.Ed in any subject are exempted from acquiring K-TET qualification (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. dated 30.08.2016, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. dated 08.12.2016, G.O. (P) No. 15/2020/G.Edn. dated 09.10.2020).

Notes

i) M.Phil qualification in the relevant subject must be from a recognized University in Kerala or recognized as equivalent by a University in Kerala. ii) In the absence of candidates who have passed TTC (Kannada) in Kerala, candidates with TCH (Mysore) qualification will be considered. iii) B.Ed qualification will not be accepted in lieu of TTC (Kannada). iv) If a written/OMR/Online test is conducted for this post, the question paper will be in Kannada. Candidates must write the answers in Kannada. Regarding OMR answer sheets, candidates must mark answers as instructed instead of writing. NB: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable to this post. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the Government Order proving the equivalency at the time of verification.
