18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. SC/ST and other backward communities are eligible for usual age relaxation. (For other conditions regarding age relaxation, see para 2 of Part 2 of the General Conditions). Note: Regular employees of the institution who have acquired the prescribed qualification are eligible for age relaxation up to the length of their service. However, the maximum age limit shall not exceed 50 years.

1. Must have passed SSLC or equivalent qualification. 2. Must possess any one of the following qualifications: (a) Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Kerala Government or equivalent qualification. (b) Diploma in Electrical Engineering after 3 years course from a recognized institution. (c) Certificate in Electrical Engineering after 2 years course from any Government recognized Technical School. (d) National Trade Certificate in Electrician trade after 18 months course under the Craftsmanship Training Scheme from an Industrial Training Institute, followed by 6 months of in-plant training. (e) Certificate in Electrical Engineering obtained through a 2-year course from Government recognized institutions. Note: 1. Rule 10 (a) ii of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. 2. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce Government order proving the equivalency at the time of certificate verification.

1. The vacancy mentioned is currently existing. The rank list prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years. If a new rank list is published for the same post after one year, the current list will cease to be in force. Appointments will be made from the existing vacancy and any further vacancies reported during the validity of the list. 2. The Kerala Public Service Commission reserves the right to cancel any appointment recommendation if it is later found to be incorrect. The appointing authority shall terminate the service of the candidate immediately upon cancellation of the recommendation. However, such cancellation and termination shall only occur if it is within the candidate's probation period or within 240 days of joining duty, whichever is completed first. 3. 3% of vacancies are reserved for differently-abled candidates (Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy, Hearing Impairment) as per G.O (P) No.01/13/SJD dated 03.01.2013. 4. Candidates claiming caste/community in the application that differs from their SSLC book must produce a non-creamy layer/caste certificate along with a gazette notification regarding the name/caste change at the time of certificate verification. 5. Candidates who make false claims regarding education, experience, etc., and provide confirmation for the exam but fail to appear or attend will face appropriate disciplinary action as per KPSC Rules of Procedure Rule 22. 6. Probation: Every person appointed to this post shall be on probation for a period of two years within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining duty. 7. Application Instructions: Candidates must register via 'One Time Registration' on www.keralapsc.gov.in. Candidates must upload a photo taken after 31/12/2012 with their name and date of photo clearly marked at the bottom. The photo is valid for 10 years. For profiles created from 01.01.2022, photos must be taken within 6 months. No application fee. Candidates must keep their password confidential and ensure profile details are correct. Applications once submitted are conditional. Candidates should keep a soft copy/print out of the application for future use. Original documents must be produced when required by the Commission. 8. Confirmation: Candidates must provide confirmation for the exam through their One Time Registration profile. Only those who provide confirmation can download the admission ticket 15 days before the exam date. Failure to provide confirmation will lead to unconditional rejection of the application.
