District wise Ernakulam – SC- 01(one)

Direct Recruitment (From Ex-servicemen candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste reservation community only). In the absence of candidates belonging to SC community, candidates of Ex-servicemen belonging to ST community will be considered.

21-44, Candidates born between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post [including the relaxation as per para 2 (i) of General Conditions]. Note:- 1) For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years of age, please see para 2 of general condition under Part II of this notification.

(i) Literacy in Malayalam or Tamil or Kannada. (ii) Must posses Current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for driving Heavy Duty Vehicle and Motor Cycle and must have three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil. Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 must have endorsement both for heavy Goods and heavy passenger Vehicles and applications with only one endorsement will be summarily rejected (Vide amendment No. 47/78 to the Motor Vehicles Act). Note: 1) Proficiency in driving Heavy Duty Vehicles will have to be proved through a practical test including 'T' Test and Road Test conducted by P.S.C. Those who pass 'T' Test will alone be permitted for Road Test. 2) Rule 10 (a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. 3) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification,the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post,in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post,shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission (iii) Medical Fitness:- (a) Ear - Hearing should be perfect. (b) Eye - Distant vision : 6/6 Snellen (Right eye), 6/6 Snellen (Left eye); Near vision : 0.5 snellen (Right eye), 0.5 snellen (Left eye); Colour Vision : Normal; Night blindness : Nil (c) Muscles and joints - No paralysis and all joints must be capable of free movement. (d) Nervous System - Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases. (iv) Candidate should be Ex-Servicemen/Disembodied Territorial Army personnel (Discharge Certificate and Pension payment order should be produced as and when called for.) (v) Candidates who claim Experience qualification, should obtain Experience Certificate in the format given below. Candidates should upload original Experience Certificate in the prescribed format while submitting the application and produce the same as and when called for by the Commission

Note: (i) This is the sixth NCA notification for the post for Ernakulam district due to non availability of qualified candidates belonging to SC community as per I NCA notification (Gazette date 16/07/2012,Category No.045/2012), IInd NCA notification (Gazette date 25/11/2014,Category No.512/2014), IIIrd NCA notification (Gazette date 29.11.2017,Category No.529/2017),IVth NCA notification (Gazette date 15/10/2019,Category No.177/2019), & V th NCA notification (Gazette date 14/07/2021,Category No.245/2021) respectively (ii) A Ranked List will be prepared for the above district in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the above identified vacancy earmarked for the above community,and remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates for selection till date from the ranked list published for the post. (iii) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No.154/71/PD dated, 27/05/1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district, Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(P)No.36/91/P&ARD dated 02/12/1991. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (iv) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the community other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to those candidates. Probation:- Every person appointed to the post shall, from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a total period of 2 years on duty within continuous period of three years.
