18-36. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included). Candidates belonging to Other Backward Communities, Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, and Widows are eligible for usual age relaxation.

(1) Pass in Plus Two or equivalent qualification. (2) Lower Grade Certificate in English Typewriting (KGTE) and Computer Word Processing or equivalent qualification. Note: Candidates who have passed KGTE English Typewriting before January 2002 must produce a separate certificate in Computer Word Processing or equivalent. (3) Lower Grade Certificate in Malayalam Typewriting (KGTE) or equivalent qualification.

(i) The vacancy mentioned is currently existing. The Ranked List prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years. If a new Ranked List is published after one year, the current list will cease to be in force. Recruitment will be made from the current list for the existing vacancy and any additional vacancies reported during the validity of the list. (ii) Any recommendation for appointment will be cancelled if found to be incorrect later. If the appointment recommendation is cancelled, the appointing authority shall terminate the service of the candidate. However, such termination must occur within the probation period or within 240 days of joining, whichever is earlier. (iii) As per G.O.(P) No.01/2013/SJD dated 03.01.2013, 3% of vacancies are reserved for differently-abled candidates (Locomotor disability/Cerebral palsy, Hearing impairment). (iv) For employees of Meat Products of India Limited, the upper age limit is 50 years, subject to the condition that the relaxation is equal to their length of service in the establishment. They must produce a service certificate from the head of the establishment showing the start and end dates of service. (v) For those who have completed apprenticeship training in equivalent posts in Government/Company/Board/Corporation, the training period will be deducted from the upper age limit as per the Apprentices Act 1961. (vi) Probation: The person appointed to this post shall be on probation for a period of two years within a continuous service of three years from the date of joining. (vii) Rule 10(a) ii of KS&SSR Part II is applicable. (viii) Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the Government Order proving the equivalency at the time of verification. (ix) Candidates claiming a specific caste/community must produce a non-creamy layer/caste certificate along with a gazette notification if there is a discrepancy between the claim and the SSLC book.
