LAST GRADE SERVANTS (SPECIAL RECRUITMENT - SCHEDULED CASTES/ SCHEDULED TRIBES)

District-wise Kottayam - 04 (Four) Kasaragod - 02 (Two)

Direct Recruitment (from Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes only - Special Recruitment). Applications submitted by candidates belonging to other than Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes will be summarily rejected. Individual communication regarding the rejection of such applications will not be issued.

18-41, Candidates should have been born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included). Note: In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit, the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.

7) Qualifications :- Passed Standard VII. But should not have acquired any graduation. Note (I):- Candidates who possess any Graduation (except degrees obtained based on the service in Defence Forces) are not eligible to apply for this post. If it is proved that any candidate who has suppressed their graduation and applied for the post, their application will be liable to rejection and themselves will be removed from the rank list and disciplinary/ penal actions including removal of name from service at any stage of selection will be taken against them. Candidates who have passed SSLC or equivalent qualification and also possess not less than 15 years of military service (Army/Navy/Air Force) and who have obtained Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or equivalent certificate issued by Navy/Air Force, though they are eligible to be considered for lower posts like LGS, are not eligible to apply for this post.

Probation: - The candidates selected to the post shall be on probation for a period of one year on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. (ii) Qualification regarding KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable for this post. (iii) Besides the basic qualifications, Good Physique is also necessary for appointment to certain posts. Candidates possessing Good Physique will be considered only when they are called upon to produce Medical Fitness Certificate. (The certificate should be obtained from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon in Government Service). 1) Matron, Bala Mandir, Kozhikode 2) Watch Woman in the Social Welfare Institutions under Social Justice Department 3) Cleaner, Sewer Cleaner (Sewer Cleaner) in Public Works Department 4) Gate Keeper Gr.II/Lasker Gr.II in Printing Department (iv) Differently abled candidates are not eligible for appointment to the post of Watcher, Watchman, Night Watcher, Marker (in Medical Colleges, Collegiate Education Dept., Technical Education Dept.), Regular Marker (Animal Husbandry Dept.), Chainman (Land Revenue & Town Planning), Lasker Gr.II / Gate Keeper Gr.II (Printing Dept.). (v) Women candidates are not eligible for appointment to the following posts: 1) Watchman (in all categories), Watcher 2) Night Watchman 3) Guard / Night Guard 4) Chowkidar 5) Cleaner cum Conductor 6) Cleaner (Boat Cleaner, Tractor Cleaner, Van Cleaner, Ambulance Cleaner, Lorry Cleaner) 7) Lasker 8) Gate Keeper 9) Bull Keeper 10) Animal Keeper (Drugs Control Department) (vi) Women candidates alone will be considered for the post of Watch Woman in the institutions under the Social Justice Department. Vacancies arising in other posts found suitable for women candidates will be filled up after obtaining consent from women candidates. (vii) Only Hindu believers will be appointed to the posts in the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department. (viii) Vacancies of LGS in Kerala Municipal Common Service will be filled up without obtaining consent from the ranked list prepared district-wise as per this notification. (ix) There will be a common list for all posts in the Last Grade. (x) If the candidates claiming equivalent qualification produce necessary Government Order/Certificate proving equivalency along with the application and produce the same at the time of verification, such qualification will be treated as equivalent. (xi) In case of any difference in caste noted in the SSLC book and that claimed in the application, the candidate shall produce a genuine caste certificate issued by the Revenue Authority and Gazette Notification concerned at the time of verification. (xii) If a candidate who has made an incorrect claim for qualification, experience, etc., submits an application, gives confirmation for writing the examination, and subsequently fails to attend the examination or fails to appear for confirmation, disciplinary action will be taken against them as per Rule 22 of the KPSC Rules of Procedure (1976).
