18-36, Only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities. Note : For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para (2) of the General Conditions under Part II of this Notification.

3 years recognized Diploma or equivalent qualification in the concerned subject (Civil). OR SSLC or equivalent qualification and any of the following qualifications : a) Government of Kerala Certificate (Two Year Course in Draftsman Civil) OR b) Diploma in Draftsmanship in Civil Trade in 18 months course (6 months with practical training) at Industrial Training Institute/ Center, Ministry of Labour, Government of India.

1. Rule 10 a (ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/ higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission. 2. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned. 3. In the case of difference in original caste/ community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette notification in this regard, along with Non Creamy Layer Certificate/ Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification. Probation:- Every person appointed to the post shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a total period of two years duty within a continuous period of three years, during which the candidates selected shall pass departmental test for declaring probation.
