Age Limit
18-43. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. In the case of adult members of Scheduled Caste and their children converted to Christian religion the upper age limit shall be 45 years ie. candidates born between 02.01.1980 & 01.01.2007 (Including age relaxation as per para 2(i) of General conditions) Note:- For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para (2) of the General Conditions under Part II of this Notification except para 2 (i).
Qualifications
1 A pass in Higher Secondary Examination with Urdu as an optional subject or as second language OR A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala and a pass in Higher Secondary Examination with Urdu as an optional subject OR A pass in Higher Secondary Examination and a pass in Adib-i-Fazil Preliminary examination in Urdu conducted by the University of Calicut OR A pass in Adib-i-Fazil Preliminary (New Scheme) examination which is equivalent to Higher Secondary Examination, conducted by the University of Calicut OR A pass in Higher Secondary Examination and a pass in Urdu Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala OR A pass in Higher Secondary Examination and Degree/Post Graduate Degree in Urdu language conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala AND A pass in the 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (Urdu), in short D.El.Ed (Urdu), examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. OR A Degree in Urdu and B.Ed in Urdu conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala Note:-Qualifications noted below are applicable to those candidates who have acquired (Item-2) qualifications or gained admission to the respective (Item-2) qualifying courses on or before 07.03.2019. Those who have gained admission to Item-2 qualifying courses from 08.03.2019 to 09.06.2024 will be considered only if they possess D.El.Ed qualification in Urdu as on the last date of receipt of application. 2 (i) SSLC or its equivalent qualification (ii) Degree in Urdu conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala OR A Title of oriental Learning in Urdu awarded or recognized by the Universities of Kerala. OR A Pass in Adib-i-Fazil (Preliminary) Examination in Urdu conducted by anyone of the Universities in Kerala. OR A Pass in Urdu Higher Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. OR B A Urdu and Islamic History double Main Course by Kannur University. [G.O(MS) No.158/18/G.Edn.dated 12/11/2018] Note: Disciplines in which Degree/Title of oriental learning obtained should be mentioned. 3 Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test-IV (K-TET-IV) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. (Generally applicable for candidates who apply under 7(1) and 7(2) above) Exemption: (i) Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the respective subjects or M.Ed are exempted from acquiring KTET (G.O.(P) No.145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.16 and G.O. (P) No.206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016). (ii)As per G.O.(P)No.6/2024/GEDN dtd 01.02.2024 CTET(Primary stage & Elementary stage) will not be considered against KTET Category IV. (iii) Candidates who have acquired KTET Category III are exempted from acquiring KTET Category IV [G.O.(Ms) No.109/22/GEDN dated. 24.06.2022] Note:- (i) As per G.O(P). No.15/2020/G.Edn dated 09/10/2020, M.Ed which is prescribed as a substitute qualification for K-TET need not be subject specific. (ii) M.Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. (iii) Rule 10 a(ii) of Part II KS&SSR will be applicable for this post. Note:- In addition to the qualification prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the special rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post , shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the commission .
Notes
First NCA notification for the post due to the non availability of candidates belonging to the above reservation categories in the Ranked List published in pursuance to this notification as per Category No.196/2023 in the Gazette dated 16.08.2023 (i) Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration on www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted in any other manner will be summarily rejected. (ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than that notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued. (iii) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for the above districts for each community in pursuance of this notification. NCA Ranked Lists thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above communities, remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following districts. (iv) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O (Ms) No. 154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five (5) years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five (5) years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS) No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. But as per the GO(P)No 12/96/P&ARD dated 16/03/1996 the condition of Five (5) years is not applicable for transfer to Idukki, Wayanad and Kasargod districts.The concession will be available only for getting transfer to these districts but not for getting transfer out of these districts.And this concession will be granted only once in the career of a Government Servant. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (v) Candidates shall submit application for the post to any one of the above mentioned districts where the vacancy is existing for the respective community and shall note the name of that district against the relevant column in the online application. If applications are sent contrary to the above direction, and if the candidate is selected, his/her name will be removed from the Ranked List and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. 8. Special concessions regarding Appointment and age limit :- (i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970 and G.O. (MS) No. 9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.01.1978 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base Establishment are included under the term `Jawans'. Wives of Jawans should select “ Are you entitled to any priority” as yes on the online application and give the details in the space following. Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the Officer Commanding stating the name, military rank and military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission (G.O (MS) No. 509/64/Edn. Dated 19.09.1964, G.O.(MS) No. 614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.1965 and G.O (MS) No. 243/66/Edn. Dated 27.05.1966). (ii) First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (G.O (MS) No. 122/75/G.Edn. Dated 27.05.1975 and GO(Ms) No.50/70/PD dated 12.2.1970). Note:- The candidates who are eligible for the above preferences or concessions in upper age limit or concessions by virtue of any of the reason mentioned in Para 2 of the General Condition should claim the same through the “weightage and preferences” link provided in their One Time Registration Profile and give details in the space provided. The applications of candidates who are eligible for concession in upper age limit and who do not claim the same, are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates. Upper age limit after allowing the relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years of age (see para 2 of General Conditions). 9. Mode of Sending Application :- Candidates must register as per ‘ONE TIME REGISTRATION’ with the official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered can apply by logging on to their profile using their User-ID and Password. Candidates must click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to apply for a post. Candidates creating new profile should upload the photograph taken within 6 months. Name of the candidate and the date of photograph taken should be printed legibly at the bottom portion. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall be valid for 10 years from the date of taking of photograph. There is no change in other instructions regarding the uploading of photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before the final submission of the application on the profile, candidates must ensure correctness of the information in their profile. They must quote the User-ID for further communication with the Commission. Application submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission. Candidates are advised to keep a printout or soft copy of the online application for future reference. Candidates can take the printout of the application by clicking on the link 'My applications' in their profile. All correspondences with the Commission, regarding the application should be accompanied with the print out of the application. The application will be summarily rejected if non-compliance with the notification is found in due course of processing. Original documents to prove qualification, experience, age, Community etc. have to be produced as and when called for. Candidates who have AADHAAR card should add AADHAAR card as I.D. Proof in their profile. 12. Special Instructions to Candidates: i) In the case of difference in Caste/ Community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette Notification in this regard, along with Non-Creamy Layer Certificate/ Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification. ii) Candidates are required to acquaint themselves with the instructions given in the notification as Part II, General Conditions before submitting application for the post. Applications which are not submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down in the General Conditions are liable to be rejected. iii) Appropriate disciplinary action as per Rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure, 1976 shall be initiated against those candidates who submit applications with bogus claims of qualification regarding education, experience etc and are liable to be disqualified for being considered for a particular post or debarment from applying to the Commission either permanently or for any period or the invalidation of their answer scripts or products in a written/practical test or the initiation of criminal or other proceedings against them or their removal or dismissal from office or the ordering of any other disciplinary action against them if they have already been appointed, or any one or more of the above. iv) If a Written Test/OMR/Online Examination is conducted as a part of this selection, candidates shall submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their 'One Time Registration' Profile. Such candidates alone can generate and download the Admission Ticket in the last 15 days till the date of test. The applications of the candidates who do not submit confirmation within the stipulated period will be rejected absolutely. The periods regarding the submission of confirmation and the availability of Admission Ticket will be published in the examination calendar itself. Information in this regard will be given to the candidates in their respective profiles and in the mobile phones registered in it.
