1 Pass in SSLC or its equivalent qualification 2 Group Certificate in Drawing (KGTE or MGTE) OR Certificate in Drawing and Painting (Two year course) issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. OR Diploma in Painting issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala OR Group Diploma in Drawing (KGTE or MGTE) OR National Diploma in Applied Arts issued by the College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram OR Bachelor of Fine Arts preparatory Examination of the University of Kerala OR B.F.A Degree in Painting of the University of Kerala OR B.F.A Degree in Applied Arts of the University of Kerala OR B.F.A (Condensed) Degree in Painting of the University of Kerala OR B.F.A. (Sculpture) of the University of Kerala OR Certificate course Examination in Commercial Art issued by the Government of Kerala OR National Diploma in Fine Arts (5 year course) awarded by the commissioner for Government Examinations/ Director of Technical Education OR Kerala Government Certificate Examination in Fine Arts 3 Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET IV) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala Exemption: (i) Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the respective subjects or M.Ed are exempted from acquiring KTET (G.O.(P) No.145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.16 and G.O.(P) No.206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016). (ii) As per G.O.(P)No.6/2024/GEDN dtd 01.02.2024, CTET (Primary stage & Elementary stage) will not be considered against KTET Category IV.

(i) Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration on www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted in any other manner will be summarily rejected. (ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than Muslim will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued. (iii) A Ranked List will be prepared for Kollam district in pursuance of this notification. NCA Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following district. (iv) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O (Ms) No. 154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five (5) years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five (5) years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS) No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. But as per the GO(P)No 12/96/P&ARD dated 16/03/1996 the condition of Five (5) years is not applicable for transfer to Idukki, Wayanad and Kasargod districts.The concession will be available only for getting transfer to these districts but not for getting transfer out of these districts.And this concession will be granted only once in the career of a Government Servant. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (v) Candidates shall submit application for the post to Kollam district where the vacancy is existing for the respective community and shall note the name of that district against the relevant column in the online application. (vi) M.Ed which is prescribed as a substitute qualification for K-TET need not be subject specific. (vii) M.Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. (viii) Rule 10(a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR will be applicable for this post. (ix) In addition to the qualification prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the special rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post , shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the commission. (x) Preference will be given to wives of Jawans and First Class Scouts and Guides as per government orders. (xi) Candidates must register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION' with the official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. (xii) Candidates creating new profile should upload the photograph taken within 6 months. Name of the candidate and the date of photograph taken should be printed legibly at the bottom portion. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall be valid for 10 years from the date of taking of photograph. (xiii) No application fee is required. (xiv) Candidates are advised to keep a printout or soft copy of the online application for future reference. (xv) Candidates who have AADHAAR card should add AADHAAR card as I.D. Proof in their profile. (xvi) If a Written Test/OMR/Online Examination is conducted as a part of this selection, candidates shall submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their 'One Time Registration' Profile.
