Direct Recruitment (from among the reservation communities mentioned above only).

1. 18-43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in respect of Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava, Latin Catholic/Anglo Indian communities. 2. 18-45. Only candidates born between 02.01.1977 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in respect of Scheduled Caste community (including the age relaxation as per Para 2(i) of the General Conditions). Note:- Chief upper age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (Fifty) years.

1) A Degree in Arabic or Arabic as main subject under Part III and Part II or Oriental Title in Arabic (and if the Title is declared as equivalent to Part III of a Degree) awarded or recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala and B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala (if such Title has been declared as equivalent to Part III of a Degree) and Language Teacher Training Certificate issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by Government of Kerala. Exemption: 1. Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed in the respective subjects are exempted from acquiring TET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.2016, G.O.(P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016, G.O.(P) No.15/2020/G Edn Dated 9.10.2020). 2. As per the conditions laid down in Government Circular No. 1866829/J3/2017/General Education dated 09.03.2018, CTET is exempted from KTET Category II.

1. The selection in pursuance of this notification will be subject to the rules given in G.O.(MS) No.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. 2. Candidates belonging to other backward communities and Scheduled Castes are eligible for age relaxation as per rules. 3. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable.
