Direct Recruitment (From among candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe community only). (In the absence of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe community, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste community will also be considered).

18-45. Candidates born between 02.01.1977 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. (For other conditions regarding age relaxation, refer to para 2 of the General Conditions).

1) A Degree in Urdu and B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Urdu (if such Title has been declared as equivalent to Part III of Degree) and a Language Teacher Training Certificate issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemptions: 1. Candidates who have acquired CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the relevant subject and M.Ed in any subject are exempted from acquiring K-TET qualification (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. dated 30.08.2016, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. dated 08.12.2016, G.O. (P) No. 15/2020/G.Edn. dated 09.10.2020). 2. As per the government circular 1866829/J3/2017/G.Edn dated 09.03.2018, CTET Primary Stage is accepted as equivalent to KTET Category I, and CTET Elementary Stage is accepted as equivalent to KTET Category II. CTET qualification is not accepted for KTET Category III and IV.

i) Applications must be submitted online through the official website of the Commission (www.keralapsc.gov.in) after One Time Registration. Applications submitted otherwise will be summarily rejected. ii) Applications submitted by candidates not belonging to the reserved community will be rejected without any notice. iii) A separate Ranked List will be prepared for Malappuram district for this notification. The Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the district. iv) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a district-wise basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A person advised for appointment from a Ranked List prepared on a district-wise basis is not eligible to transfer to another district within five years from the date of commencement of service. After five years, transfer to another district will be subject to the rules in G.O.(MS) No. 04/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in government service in the same post in any district are not eligible to apply for this notification. However, they can apply for higher posts. v) Candidates must submit applications for the Malappuram district only and must note the district name in the designated column. vi) KS & SSR part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable to this post. vii) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of the Government as equivalent to a specified qualification or higher qualification shall be accepted.
