18-43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. (Including relaxation as per Para 2(i) of General Conditions). Note: The upper age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.

1) SSLC or its equivalent. (G O (MS) 232/2009/ Gen edn dated 30/11/2009) 2) A Degree in Sanskrit conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Sanskrit awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Sanskrit Oriental School Leaving Certificate issued by the Government of Kerala. OR A pass in the Preliminary Examination in Sanskrit conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala. OR A pass in the Pre-University or Pre-Degree Examination in Sanskrit conducted by any of the Sanskrit Colleges under the Universities in Kerala. OR A pass in the Sanskrit Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. OR A pass in the Pre-Degree Examination with Sanskrit (Sahithyam) and Sanskrit (Sastram) as optional subjects from any Arts or Science College under the Universities in Kerala. OR A pass in Plus 2 Course with Sanskrit Sahithyam, Sanskrit Sastram, History, and Economics as combinations conducted by the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala. (G.O (MS) No. 155/2007/G.Edn dated 17.08.2007) 3) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET-IV) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala.

Exemption: Candidates who have acquired CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed in the relevant subject are exempted from the TET qualification (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. dated 30.08.2016, G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. dated 08.12.2016). As per GO (P) No.15/2020/G.Edn dated 09/10/2020, M.Ed need not be in the relevant subject. Candidates who have passed KTET Category III are exempted from acquiring KTET Category IV (24.06.2022 G.O.(Ms) No. 109/2022/GEDN). CTET Primary Stage is not accepted for KTET Category I and CTET Elementary Stage is not accepted for KTET Category II as per Government Circular 09.03.18 - 1866829 / J 3 / 17 / G.Edn. M.Phil in the relevant subject must be from a recognized University in Kerala or recognized as equivalent by a University in Kerala. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable. Candidates must produce the original documents for proof of age, qualification, caste, etc., when required by the Commission. Candidates must upload a photo taken after 31.12.2012. Aadhaar card should be provided as identity proof in the profile.
