18-40. Only candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2007 (Both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post. SC/ST candidates and Other Backward Communities are eligible for usual age relaxation.

1) A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. 2) a) A pass in the Certificate of Physical Education issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. Note:- i) Certificate in Physical Education of Karnataka and TamilNadu states will be accepted as an alternate qualification (GO (MS) No 213/2010/G.Edn dated 1/11/2010) ii) Government of Kerala vide GO(MS)No.247/2011/G.Edn dated 07.12.2011 have recognised the DPEd Course of Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board as equivalent to the CPEd course of the same board. OR b) A pass in the Vocational Higher Secondary Education Course in Physical Education conducted by the Board of Vocational Higher Secondary Educations, Kerala or its equivalent OR c) Any degree in Physical Education (Regular Course) such as B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed etc. conferred or recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala. [(a), (b) & (c) above as per G.O(MS)No.48/2001/G.Edn. Dated 9.2.2001]. OR d) Ex -Servicemen of Army/Navy/Air Force who possess SSLC or its equivalent and any one of the following qualifications can also apply for the post. i) “Physical Training Course of the Armed Forces” (The Assistant Instructors Basic Course in Physical Education). OR ii) The Army Physical Training Corps Instructors Course. OR iii) The Naval Physical Training Corps Instructors Course. OR iv) The Air Force Ground Training Instructors Course. 3) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET-IV) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala (GO(Ms)No.109/2022/GEdn dated 24.06.2022) Exemption: (i) Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the respective subjects or M.Ed are exempted from acquiring KTET (G.O.(P) No.145/16/G.Edn. dated 30.08.16 and G.O.(P) No.206/16/G.Edn. dated 08.12.2016). (ii) As per G.O.(P)No.6/2024/GEDN dated 01.02.2024, CTET (Primary stage & Elementary stage) will not be considered against KTET Category IV.

(i) Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration on www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted in any other manner will be summarily rejected. (ii) Ranked List will be prepared for Thiruvananthapuram district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked list thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies, if any, reported during the currency of the list. (iii) Candidates should submit their application for this post to Thiruvananthapuram district and should note the name of that District against the relevant column in the online application. (iv) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O (Ms) No. 154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS) No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. But as per the G.O.(P)No.12/96/ P&ARD dated 16.3.1996 the conditions of 5 years Service is not applicable for transfer to the districts Idukki, Wayanad and Kasaragod. The concession will be available only for getting transfer to these districts but not for getting transfer out of these districts. And these concession will be granted only once in the career of a Govt. Servant. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (v) 4% of the total vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates with disabilities as specified vide G.O.(P) No.13/2024/SJD dated 17.10.2024.
