i) Muslim, Ezhava/ Thiyya/Billava, Viswakarma & Latin Catholics / Anglo Indian: 20 - 42. Only candidates born between 02/01/1982 and 01/01/2004 (both dates are included) are eligible to apply for this post [including age relaxation under para 2(i) of the general conditions]. ii)Scheduled Caste: 20 - 44. Only candidates born between 02/01/1980 and 01/01/2004 (both dates are included) are eligible to apply for this post [including age relaxation under para 2(i) of the general conditions]. Note 1. For other conditions regarding the age relaxation please see Part II, Para 2 of the General Conditions of the Gazette notification. 2 Officers of the Technical Education Department, Public Works Department, Public Health Engineering Department, Industrial Department, and Architecture & Town Planning Department may also apply. They will be allowed age relaxation to the extent of their service in those departments. (Maximum age limit shall not exceed 50 years as on 01.01.2024)

First Class Masters Degree in Commerce from a recognized University after undergoing a regular course of study and Diploma in Commercial Practice. (GO (P)No.366/2010/HEdn dated 08.11.2010)

i KS&SSR Part II Rule 10 (a)ii is applicable ii Candidates who have acquired Non-qualifying Degrees viz. Ph D/M Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship will be awarded weightage marks provided that such Non-Qualifying Degrees shall be in the subjects pertaining to the basic qualification stipulated for the post. Weightage marks for Non-qualifying Degrees for ranking will be awarded as detailed below. Non-Qualifying M Phil - 2 marks Non-Qualifying Ph D - 4 marks Both M Phil and Ph D (Non-Qualifying) - 5 marks Post Doctoral Fellowship - 2 marks Non-qualifying degree means the additional qualifications which are earned apart from the qualifications insisted on as essential qualifications for the post. If Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship is reckoned as essential qualification for the post, weightage marks will not be awarded for it. Weightage marks will be awarded only to those non-qualifying degrees which are claimed in the application and which are acquired on or before the last date for receipt of applications. iii In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission. iv The Degrees/Diplomas awarded by UGC approved Universities or Institutions established through an act passed by Parliament/State Legislative Assembly in accordance with the conditions laid down in G.O (M.S) No.526/PD dated 17.07.1965 are acceptable for appointment in Government Services.
