18-40. Candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation is applicable to SC/ST and other backward communities. The upper age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.

1) Pass in SSLC examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. 2) KGTE (Higher) or MGTE (Higher) in Needle Work and Dress Making Group. OR KGTE (Higher) or MGTE (Higher) in Tailoring Group. OR Group Diploma in Craft conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. OR Trade Certificate in Cutting and Tailoring issued by the National Council for Training in Vocational Trades (G.O.(P) No. 106/82/Edn. dated 29.07.1982). OR Diploma in Craftsmanship (Tailoring and Garment Making) issued by the Director of Technical Education, Kerala. OR Diploma in Craftsmanship (Tailoring and Embroidery) issued by the Director of Technical Education, Kerala (G.O.(P) No. 157/89/Edn. dated 24.08.1989). OR National Trade Certificate in Dress Making issued by the National Council for Training in Vocational Trades (G.O.(P) No. 501/97/Edn. dated 18.12.1997). OR B.F.T (Bachelor of Fashion Technology) degree from Mahatma Gandhi University (G.O.(Ms) No. 40/2018/G.Edn. dated 12.04.2018). OR B.Sc F.A.T.D (Fashion and Apparel Design Technology) degree from Kannur University (G.O.(Ms) No. 40/2018/G.Edn. dated 12.04.2018). OR B.Sc degree in Costume and Fashion Designing from Calicut University (G.O.(Ms) No. 40/2018/G.Edn. dated 12.04.2018). OR Diploma in Fashion Designing from Kerala Institute of Labour and Employment (G.O.(Ms) No. 74/2018/G.Edn. dated 29.05.2018). OR Diploma in Fashion Designing from Indira Gandhi National Open University (G.O.(Ms) No. 114/2019/G.Edn. dated 06.08.2019). 3) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala.
