18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Communities. A Bachelor's Degree in Fisheries Science/ BFSC Nautical Science/Industrial Fisheries/Mariculture/Marine Biology/Coastal Aquaculture/Aquatic Biology and Fisheries/Aquaculture/ Aquaculture and Fishery Microbiology/Capture and Culture Fisheries/ Aquaculture and Fishery Biology/Applied Fisheries and Aquaculture/Fish Processing Technology and Aquaculture/Aquaculture Engineering/Zoology from a recognised University. OR A Master's Degree in Fisheries Science/Industrial Fisheries/Mariculture/Marine Biology/Coastal Aquaculture/Aquatic Biology and Fisheries/Aquaculture/ Aquaculture and Fishery Microbiology/Capture and Culture Fisheries/ Aquaculture and Fishery Biology/Applied Fisheries and Aquaculture/Fish Processing Technology and Aquaculture/Aquaculture Engineering/Zoology from a recognised University.

1. Rule 10 a (ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable. 2. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of certificate verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned. 3. In the case of difference in original caste/ community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette notification in this regard, along with Non Creamy Layer Certificate/ Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification. 8. Probation: Every person appointed to this post shall be on probation for a total period of two years of duty within a continuous period of three years. 9. Test: Every probationer appointed to the post shall , within the period of probation , pass the Account Test (Lower or Higher),if he/she has not already passed . A pass in the Staff Training Course conducted by the Director of Fisheries shall be necessary.
