Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to OBC community only). Note: Applications submitted by candidates not belonging to the above mentioned community will be rejected. No individual intimation will be given regarding the rejection of the application.
Age Limit
18-39; Candidates should be born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included). (General conditions regarding age relaxation are applicable as per para 2(i) of the General Conditions). Note: For other conditions regarding age limit, see Part II of the General Conditions. (Except para 2(i))
Qualifications
(1) Must have passed 7th Standard or equivalent qualification. (2) Must possess good physical fitness. (3) Must possess experience in pulling/towing boats, which will be tested through a practical test. Note: 1. Women and differently abled candidates are not eligible to apply for this post. 2. A medical certificate proving physical fitness must be produced at the time of verification by the Commission. 3. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. 4. In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, qualifications declared as equivalent by the Government or the Commission, and higher qualifications than those prescribed, will be accepted. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications must be produced at the time of verification by the Commission.
Notes
1. Candidates must produce a Non-Creamy Layer Certificate / Caste Certificate along with a Gazette notification regarding change in caste name if the caste/community mentioned in the application differs from that in the SSLC book. 2. Candidates must read the General Conditions in Part II of the Gazette notification before applying. Applications submitted against the General Conditions will be rejected. 3. Candidates who submit false claims regarding education, experience, etc., will be subject to disciplinary action by the Kerala Public Service Commission as per Rule 22 of the Rules of Procedure, including debarment from applying, cancellation of practical test/written exam results, removal from service if already appointed, or other legal actions.
