Lower Division Typist (By Transfer)

10% of the vacancies arising in the post of Lower Division Typist in various departments in the Kerala Subordinate Service are reserved for employees working in posts with a lower scale of pay than 26500-60700/-.

By Transfer (Only from employees serving in posts with a lower scale of pay in Government Service).

Candidates serving in lower scale of pay in Subordinate Service are exempted from the upper age limit. However, they must possess other qualifications.

(1) Pass in SSLC or its equivalent. (2) Lower Grade Certificate in Malayalam Typewriting (KGTE) or its equivalent. (3) Lower Grade Certificate in English Typewriting (KGTE) and Certificate in Computer Word Processing or its equivalent. Note: Candidates who have acquired KGTE Typewriting qualification before January 2002 should have acquired a separate certificate in Computer Word Processing or equivalent qualification before the last date of application.

i) Certificates in Computer Word Processing of not less than three months duration conducted by Central/State Government Departments, Agencies, Societies, or Universities are considered equivalent. Details of qualifications already decided as equivalent to Computer Word Processing are available on the KPSC website. ii) Candidates must be full members or approved probationers in any subordinate service under the Kerala Government, including part-time contingent service, on the date of application. Service details must be filled in the prescribed format (Annexure I) and obtained from the Head of Office to be produced when required by the Commission. Temporary employees appointed through Employment Exchanges or other means are not eligible. iii) Candidates must submit applications for only one district and specify the district name in the designated column. Submitting applications for more than one district will lead to rejection. iv) Candidates applying for both Direct Recruitment and By Transfer recruitment need not select the same district. Separate applications must be submitted for each category. If a candidate is selected from one rank list, they will be removed from the other as per KPSC Rules of Procedure Rule 18 (iii). v) Selection is district-wise. Candidates selected cannot request inter-district transfer for five years from the date of commencement of service. Exceptions apply for Idukki, Kasaragod, and Wayanad districts as per government orders. vi) Appointments will be made from the rank list to headquarters vacancies starting from Thiruvananthapuram district. viii) A competitive examination will be conducted. Rank lists will be prepared district-wise based on marks. Candidates must secure at least 40% marks to be eligible for the rank list. ix) As this is a By Transfer appointment, reservation rules under the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules 1958 are not applicable. If candidates are not available for the 10% reserved vacancies, they will be filled from the direct recruitment rank list. x) For employees who entered government service before 01.07.2011, the qualifications as per G.O(P) No.17/2005/P&ARD apply (SSLC and KGTE Malayalam Lower). xi) Rule 10 (a) (ii) Part II KS & SSR is applicable. xii) Candidates must produce government orders regarding equivalency of qualifications when required by the Commission.
