First class Bachelor's Degree in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology from a recognized University after undergoing a regular course of study. Note: Basic qualification for the post in the order of preference i) Degree in Electronics ii) Degree in Applied Electronics iii) Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (G.O(P) No. 366/2010/H.Edn. Dated 08.11.2010)

Note: 4% of the total vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates with disabilities as specified vide G.O(P) No. 5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023 [Link: Present Order for Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 Section 34 ] The Ranked list published by the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and maximum period of three years, provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year, or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies noted above and against vacancies that may be reported to the Commission during the period of currency of the Ranked list. i KS&SSR part II Rule 10 (a)ii is applicable ii Candidates who have acquired Non-qualifying Degrees viz. Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship will be awarded weightage marks provided that such Non-Qualifying Degrees shall be in the subjects pertaining to the basic qualification stipulated for the post. Weightage marks for Non-qualifying Degrees for ranking will be awarded as detailed below. Non-Qualifying M.Phil - 2 marks Non-Qualifying Ph.D - 4 marks Both M.Phil and Ph.D (Non-Qualifying) - 5 marks Post Doctoral Fellowship - 2 marks Non-qualifying degree means the additional qualifications which are earned apart from the qualifications insisted on as essential qualifications for the post. If Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship is reckoned as essential qualification for the post, weightage marks will not be awarded for it. Weightage marks will be awarded only to those non-qualifying degrees which are claimed in the application and which are acquired on or before the last date for receipt of applications iii In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission.' iv The Degrees/Diplomas awarded by UGC approved Universities or Institutions established through an act passed by Parliament/State Legislative Assembly in accordance with the conditions laid down in G.O (M.S) No.526/PD dated 17.07.1965 are acceptable for appointment in Government Services. Liability to serve in the Defence Services : Persons appointed to the above mentioned post shall be liable, notwithstanding that at the time of requisition they are holding higher appointments, to serve for a minimum period of four years (including period spent in training) in the Defence Services or on assignments relating to Defence efforts anywhere in India or abroad, if so required. The liability to serve in the Defence Services will be limited to the first 10 years of service and will not ordinarily apply to those above 40 years of age.
