18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual relaxation in upper age limit shall be allowed to candidates belonging to Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates.

1. SSLC or equivalent. 2. Two years experience in Fire Fighting in the Fire Force of the State, Air Force or in a reputed industrial establishment. 3. Candidates must have a minimum height of 165 cm, 50 kg weight, 81 cm normal chest measurement, and 86.6 cm expanded chest measurement.

i) The vacancy mentioned is currently existing. The Ranked List prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years. If a new Ranked List is published after one year, the current list will cease to be in force. Recruitment will be made from this list for the existing vacancies and any additional vacancies reported during the validity of the list. ii) Any recommendation for appointment from the above post, if found to be false later, the Kerala Public Service Commission has the power to cancel it. If the appointment recommendation is cancelled, the appointing authority shall terminate the service of the candidate. However, the termination of service must be within the probation period or within 240 days of joining, whichever is completed first. iii) Women and differently-abled candidates are not eligible for this post. iv) Candidates who have worked provisionally in the said establishment are eligible for age relaxation up to the duration of their provisional service, provided they were within the age limit during their first provisional appointment. This benefit is limited to a maximum of five years. Those currently working as regular employees in the establishment are not eligible for this benefit. Candidates with provisional service must obtain a certificate showing the duration of service and produce it when required by the Commission. The certificate must specifically state that they were not working as regular employees. v) K.S. & S.S.R Part II Rule 10 a(ii) is applicable. vi) Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the Government Order proving the equivalency at the time of verification. vii) Candidates claiming a different caste/community in the application than what is recorded in the SSLC book must produce a Gazette notification regarding the change along with the Non-Creamy Layer/Caste certificate at the time of verification. viii) Candidates who submit false claims regarding education or experience and then fail to provide confirmation for the exam or fail to appear for the exam will face disciplinary action under Rule 22 of the KPSC Rules of Procedure 1976. ix) Experience certificate must be in the prescribed format. x) Practical experience must be acquired after obtaining the academic or basic qualification and before the last date fixed for receipt of applications. xi) All experience certificates must be certified by the concerned controlling officer/superior officer of the State/Central Government. Certificates will be subject to verification, and legal action will be taken against those providing or submitting fake certificates. xii) Candidates must provide their Aadhaar card as an identity document in their profile.
