Method of appointment
By Transfer. Candidates must be a Full Member or Approved Probationer in the General Education Department and must have not less than 5 years of service in the post of Clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attendant/Full-time Menial.

Qualifications
(i) Must have passed the SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. OR Must have passed a Pre-degree examination conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala or any examination recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent to Pre-degree. OR Must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala or any other examination recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto. (ii) Must have passed the TTC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. (iii) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala.
Notes
1. Candidates must be a Full Member or Approved Probationer in the General Education Department and must have not less than 5 years of service in the post of Clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attendant/Full-time Menial as on the date of application. 2. Candidates who have passed CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the concerned subject and M.Ed are exempted from K-TET. 3. TTC qualification is equivalent to D.Ed (Diploma in Teacher Education) as per G.O(RT) No.3280/13/G.Edn dated 05.08.2013 and subsequent government orders. 4. Candidates who have not studied Malayalam in SSLC (Part I or Part II) are not eligible to apply, unless they have studied Malayalam as a language in Degree/Post Graduate/Teacher Training courses. 5. If a written/OMR/Online test is conducted, candidates must submit confirmation through their profile. 6. Candidates must produce a Service Certificate in the prescribed format from the Head of Office/Department when required by the Commission.
