District wise Idukki – Anticipated Vacancy One vacancy for the above post set apart as per PWD Act 2016, due to the non-availability of candidates belonging to DA - Low Vision, in the previous ranked list for this post will be filled up from the candidates belonging to the same DA category from the ranked list published as per this notification. If candidates are not available in the respective DA category the vacancy will be filled up from other available DA categories and in the absence of DA candidates the vacancy will be filled up from general category.

18-40. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2005(Both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual relaxation to SC/ST and other Backward communities. Note:- For concessions allowed in upper age limit subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 (fifty) years of age, please see Para 2 of the General Conditions under Part II of this notification.

1 A Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject both conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. (Concerned subjects are specified in Note ii below). 2 Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test(K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption : 1. Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the respective subjects/M.ED in any subject are exempted from acquiring TET(G.O.(P)No.145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.16, G.O.(P)No.206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016 and G.O(P)No.15/2020/G.Edn. Dated 9.10.20) 2. As per the conditions laid down in Government Circular No.1866829/J3/2017 G.Edn.Dated 09.03.2018 those who passes CTET primary stage and CTET Elementary stage were excluded from KTET Cat.I & KTET Cat.II respectively. Also CTET qualification can't be considered as an alternative qualification for KTET Cat.III and Cat.IV. 3 (i) Must have passed SSLC/Plus Two/Pre-Degree with Tamil as I or II Language. OR (ii) A pass in Degree or post Graduation in Tamil Language . In the absence of the qualifications referred in (i) & (ii) above its equivalent shall also be considered. (G.O(P)No.166/16/G.Edn.Dated 30.09.2016).

Note:- (i) Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration to www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted in any other manner will be summarily rejected. (ii) A Ranked List will be prepared for Idukki district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked list thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the vacancies, if any, reported during the currency of the list. (iii) Candidates should submit the application for this post to the above District and should note the name of the District against the relevant column of the online application. (iv) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O (MS) No. 154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he or she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS) No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. Note:- 4% of the total vacancies reported shall be reserved for Differently Abled candidates with disabilities as specified vide G.O(P)No.5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023.
