Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes only). Note:- Applications received from non SC/ST candidates will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason will not be issued.

18-41. Only candidates born between 02.01.1973 and 01.01.1996 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Note:- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit, the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (fifty) years.

Must be able to read and write Malayalam or Tamil or Kannada.

i) The above vacancies are now in existence. Separate Ranked List will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. The list of selected candidates published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year is published. Recruitment will be made for the above vacancies and also for the vacancies reported exclusively for Scheduled Tribes will also be advised during the validity of the list and only in the absence of Scheduled Tribe candidates in this list, fresh notifications for vacancies reserved exclusively for Scheduled tribes will be issued. ii) The Selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis subject to the special conditions laid down in Go (M.S) 154/71/PD dated 27-05-1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one Revenue district from the Ranked list so prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five (5) years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five (5) years, it will be subject to the orders contained in G.O(MS) No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government Service holding the same post in anyone district are restricted from applying again for the same post in another district. But they can apply for higher posts. iii) Candidates from the Ranked list for district wise selection will be advised for appointment against the Headquarters Vacancies also. Appointment against the Head Quarter vacancies will be started from Thiruvananthapuram District. Separate option need not be given for this. The conditions laid down in G.O.(P) No.27/13/PD dated 28.09.13 shall be applicable to the candidates thus appointed. iv) Candidates are not eligible to apply for the same post in more than one district. If a candidate applies to more than one district and get selected his/her selection will be cancelled and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. Note:- (1) Physically handicapped persons are not eligible for appointment to the post of Watcher, Watchman, Night Watcher, Marker (Medical College, Collegiate Education and Technical Education Department) Regular Marker (Animal Husbandry Department) Chainman (Land Revenue and Town Planning Department) included in the Kerala Last Grade Service. (2) Women candidates are not eligible for appointment to the following posts. 1) Watchman of all categories, Watcher and Chowkidar. 2) Cleaner-cum-Conductor 3) Cleaner (Boat Cleaner, Tractor Cleaner, Van Cleaner, Ambulance Cleaner, Lorry Cleaner) 4) Fisherman 5) Fisherman-cum-Watchman 6) Boatman 7) Lascar 8) Bull Attendant 9) Bull Keeper 10) Chainman 11) Lascar Grade II/Gate Keeper Gr.II (Printing Department) (3) Only persons professing Hindu Religious faith alone will be appointed to the post in the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department. (4) Only one common Ranked List will be prepared for the various posts in the Last Grade Service. (5) Only women candidates are eligible for the post of Watch Woman. (6) Vacancies for Last Grade Service in Kerala Municipal Common Service will also be filled up from the Ranked List prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification without obtaining willingness from the candidates. (7) Candidates who have passed std. VII and are included in the ranked list prepared as per this notification for the post of LGS (Except women & PH) are hereby instructed to furnish their willingness for being considered for the post of Lascar Grade II/Gate Keeper Grade II in the Government Press along with proper medical certificate. (8) Rule 10 a(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable.
