18-43. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1978 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. [including relaxation as per para 2(i of General Conditions.) Note:- For concessions allowed in Upper age limit,subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para (2) of the General Conditions under Part II of this Notification.

OR Diploma in Painting issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. OR Group Diploma in Drawing (KGTE or MGTE) OR National Diploma in Applied Arts issued by the College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram OR Bachelor of Fine Arts preparatory Examination of the University of Kerala OR B.F.A Degree in Painting of the University of Kerala OR B.F.A Degree in Applied Arts of the University of Kerala OR B.F.A (Condensed) Degree in Painting of the University of Kerala OR B.F.A. (Sculpture) of the University of Kerala OR Certificate course Examination in Commercial Art issued by the Government of Kerala OR National Diploma in Fine Arts (5 year course) awarded by the commissioner for Government Examinations/ Director of Technical Education OR Kerala Government Certificate Examination in Fine Arts 3 Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption: 1. Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/ Ph.D/M.Ed. in the respective subjects are exempted from acquiring TET (G.O. (P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.16 and G.O. (P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016). 2. As per the conditions laid down in Government Circular No. 1866829/J3/2017 G. Edn dated 09.03.2018 those who passed CTET primary stage and CTET Elementary stage were excluded from KTET Cat. I & KTET Cat. II respectively. Also CTET qualification can't be considered as an alternative qualification for KTET Cat. III and Cat. IV.

(i) Conventional type applications for the above post will be summarily rejected. Candidates can apply online only by One Time Registration on www.keralapsc.gov.in (ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued. (iii) A Ranked List will be prepared for Idukki district in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force for three years from the date of publication of NCA Ranked List or until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following district whichever is earlier . (iv) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O (Ms) No. 154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five (5) years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five (5) years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS) No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. But as per the GO(P)No 12/96/P&ARD dated 16/03/1996 the condition of Five (5) years is not applicable for transfer to Idukki, Wayanad and Kasargod districts. The concession will be available only for getting transfer to these districts but not for grtting transfer out of these districts. And this condition will be granted only once in the career of a Government Servant. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (v) The Candidates belonging to above reservation community shall submit application for the post to the Idukki district and note the name of that district against the relevant column of the online application. (vi) In case of change in Caste/Community noted in the SSLC Book, candidates must claim their original Caste/Community in the application and shall produce Community Certificate/Non Creamy Layer Certificate as the case may be issued by the Revenue Authorities and the Gazette Notification publishing the change of Caste/Community at the time of OTR Verification for selection to the above post. (vii) As per G.O(P). No.15/2020/G.Edn dated 09/10/2020, M.Ed which is prescribed as a substitute qualification for K-TET need not be subject specific. (viii) M.Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. (ix) Rule 10 a(ii) of Part II KS&SSR will be applicable for this post. (x) Applications of candidates who have claimed qualification equivalent to hose prescribed in the Gazette Notification for the post will be considered equivalent only if they produce Government Orders to prove equivalency at the time of verification. (xi) Special concessions regarding Appointment and age limit: Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970 and G.O.(MS) No. 9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.01.1978 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (G.O (MS) No. 122/75/G.Edn. Dated 27.05.1975 and GO(Ms) No.50/70/PD dated 12.2.1970).
