18-36. Only candidates born between 02/01/1987 and 01/01/2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities. (For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see Para (2) of the General Conditions in Part II of the Gazette Notification) .Candidates for direct recruitment from Subordinate Service shall be exempted from the upper age limit for direct recruitment.

(I) S.S.L.C. or its equivalent and (II a). Must possess any of the qualifications mentioned below (i) Diploma (a) Diploma in Civil Engineering (2 years course) of Women’s Polytechnic or any other qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto. OR (ii) Certificate (a) Group Certificate under K.G.T.E or M.G.T.E (Group Certificate will include all the four groups viz., Building Drawing, Building Construction, Survey and Irrigation.) OR (b) Pass in the following eight subjects under K.G.T.E/M.G.T.E. viz. (1) Surveying and Levelling (Higher) (2) Applied Mechanics (Higher) (3) Building Materials and Construction (Higher/Lower) (4) Hydraulics and Irrigation (Higher) (5) Building Drawing and Estimating (Higher) (6) Earthwork and Road making (Higher) (7) Geometrical Drawing (Lower) (8) Mensuration (Lower) OR (c) National Apprenticeship Certificate (Surveyor) OR (d) National Apprenticeship Certificate (Civil) OR (e) National Trade Certificate (Surveyor) OR (f) National Trade Certificate (Draftsman Civil) OR (g) State Trade Certificate (Surveyor) OR (h) State Trade Certificate (Draftsman Civil) OR (II b) Pass in V.H.S.E. Draftsmanship in Building Technology or Quantity Surveying and Surveying.

Note 3% of the vacancies for the post shall be reserved for differently abled candidates with Locomotor disability/Cerebral palsy, Hearing impairment as per G.O.(P) No.1/13/SJD dt.03.01.2013. Differently abled Candidates with Low Vison/Blind are not identified suitable for this post,hence they are not eligible to apply for this post. 1 Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. 2 In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the special Rules or found acceptable by the commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post.The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission 3 The Degrees / Diplomas awarded by UGC approved Universities or Institutions established through an act passed by Parliament/State Legislative Assembly in accordance with the condition laid down in G.O (M.S) No.526/PD dated 17/07/1965 are acceptable for appointment in Government Services Probation: Every person appointed to this post shall from the date on which he joined duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continous period of three years.
