Age Limit

18-39. Candidates born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and other backward communities are eligible for usual age relaxation. (Refer to Part-2 of the General Conditions for age relaxation rules).

Qualifications

1) Pass in SSLC or equivalent examination. 2) KGTE/MGTE (Higher) in Weaving. OR Diploma in Weaving awarded by the Director of Industries and Commerce/Director of Technical Education, Kerala. OR Other equivalent qualifications.

Notes

1. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. 2. In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, qualifications declared as equivalent by the Government through executive orders or standing orders, and qualifications prescribed in the special rules as equivalent to the basic qualification, and higher qualifications than the basic qualification, will be accepted. Candidates must produce Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications when required by the Commission. 3. Degrees/Diplomas awarded by UGC recognized Universities/Institutions established through Acts passed by Parliament/State Legislature as per the provisions of GO(MS)No.526/PD dated 17.07.1965 are acceptable for appointment to Government service. 4. Probation: Candidates appointed to this post will be on probation for a period of two years of duty within a continuous period of three years. 5. Reservation: 4% of vacancies reported for this post are reserved for differently-abled candidates as per GO(P) No. 5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023.
