18-50. Candidates must be born between 02.01.1971 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included). For age relaxation, refer to Part II, Paragraph 2 of the General Conditions.

(i) Must have passed 7th Standard. Should not have acquired any degree. (ii) Must be an Ex-serviceman.

1. As per G.O (P) No. 12/2016/P & ARD dated 04.06.2016, the selection is based on the amended special rules for Last Grade Servants. 2. The rank list prepared will be valid for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. If a new rank list is published after one year, the current list will cease to be valid. 3. Appointments will be made from the rank list for vacancies in the NCC/Sainik Welfare departments. If no one is advised within 3 years, the list may be extended. 4. Selection is district-wise as per G.O(MS) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Inter-district transfer is not allowed for 5 years. 5. Headquarter vacancies will be filled from the district-wise rank list starting from Thiruvananthapuram district. 6. Service in BSF, DSC, Assam Rifles, GREF, Jammu & Kashmir Militia, and Lok Sahayak Sena is not considered as military service as per G.O.(P)No.399/77/GAD dated 26.11.1977. 7. Territorial Army personnel are not eligible to apply as per G.O.(P)No.271/80/GAD dated 03.07.1980. 8. Probation: 1 year of probation within a continuous service of 3 years. 9. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. 10. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the government order proving equivalency at the time of verification. 11. Candidates must upload a photo taken after 31.12.2011 with name and date clearly recorded at the bottom. The photo is valid for 10 years. 12. No application fee is required. 13. Candidates must keep a soft copy/print out of the online application for future use. 14. Aadhaar card should be provided in the profile as an identity document.
