Direct Recruitment from Departmental candidates of Irrigation Department only.

Must have completed 18 years as on 01.01.2022. The upper age limit is not applicable to this selection.

1.(i)Degree in Civil Engineering from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. OR (ii) Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers , India in Civil Engineering.

Note: (i) Direct Recruitment from Overseers /Draftsman, Clerks and Last Grade Servants who have rendered not less than 2 years service in Irrigation Department. (G.O.(P) No. 64-2010-WRD dated 25.09.2010) (ii) In the absence of suitable candidates, the vacancies set apart for Direct Recruitment from Departmental candidates (Open Quota) shall be filled up from the Ranked List prepared for Direct Recruitment. (iii) Candidates working in the above post on provisional basis are not eligible to apply for the post. (iv)Rules of reservation prescribed in Rule 14 to 17 of Part II of Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958 is not applicable to this selection Candidates should produce a Service Certificate (in original) obtained from the Head of Office/Department to prove the length of their service in the respective Category in the concerned Department as and when called for by the Commission.(Form of Service Certificate shall be in the form at given below) Rule 10 a (ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable. In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to the qualification specified for the post, in the Special Rules or qualifications found acceptable by the Commission since acceptance of equivalent qualification is provided for in the Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent / higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission. Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he/she joins duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
