18-43 Only Muslim Candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2006 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post (Including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of General conditions) Note:- For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para (2) of the General Conditions under Part II of this Notification except para 2(i).

1. A Graduation in Music conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR a. A Pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. AND b. A Pass in Ganapraveena or Ganabhooshana Examination in Vocal Music or Gana bhooshana Diploma in Violin/Veena conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. OR Music Senior Certificate issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala OR Sangeetha Vidwan title of the Central College of Karnatic Music, Madras. OR Ganapraveena/Ganabhooshanam (Mridangam) issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala OR Diploma in Dance with Music as subsidiary subject from Kalamandalam 2. Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET-IV) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala . Exemption: (i) Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the respective subjects or M.Ed are exempted from acquiring KTET (G.O.(P) No.145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.16 and G.O.(P) No.206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016). (ii) As per G.O.(P)No.6/2024/GEDN dtd 01.02.2024, CTET (Primary stage & Elementary stage) will not be considered against KTET Category IV.

(i) Candidates shall apply online only by One Time Registration on www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted in any other manner will be summarily rejected. (ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than Muslim will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued. (iii) A Ranked List will be prepared for Malappuram district in pursuance of this notification. NCA Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following district. (iv) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O (Ms) No. 154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five (5) years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five (5) years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS) No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. But as per the GO(P)No 12/96/P&ARD dated 16/03/1996 the condition of Five (5) years is not applicable for transfer to Idukki, Wayanad and Kasargod districts.The concession will be available only for getting transfer to these districts but not for getting transfer out of these districts.And this concession will be granted only once in the career of a Government Servant. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (v) Candidates shall submit application for the post to Malappuram district where the vacancy is existing for the respective community and shall note the name of that district against the relevant column in the online application. (I) As per G.O(P). No.15/2020/G.Edn dated 09/10/2020, M.Ed which is prescribed as a substitute qualification for K-TET need not be subject specific. (ii) M.Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. (iii) Rule 10(a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR will be applicable for this post. (iv) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the special rules or found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the rules and such of those qualifications which pre suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post , shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the commission.
