A) A Degree in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A pass in Pre-Degree Examination with Part III Arabic (Special Optional) of Calicut University. OR A pass in Plus Two Part III Arabic (Optional) course conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala. OR A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala with Arabic as First Language (Part I and Part II). OR A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent and any one of the following qualifications: 1) A pass in Arabic Munshi (Higher) Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 2) A pass in Arabic Munshi (Lower) Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 3) A pass in Arabic Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 4) A pass in Arabic Entrance Examination of Kerala University or Calicut University. Note: As per G.O.(Ms) No. 8/19/G.Edn dated 14.01.2019, BA Arabic & Islamic History Double Main Degree awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala is also a qualification for this post. B) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption: Candidates who have acquired CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed in the respective subject are exempted from acquiring K-TET qualification. As per the government circular dated 09.03.2018, CTET qualification is not accepted for K-TET Category III and IV. Employees of the General Education Department who have entered service before 31.03.2012 as Clerk, Typist, Attender, Office Attendant, or Full Time Menial and have completed the prescribed service are not required to pass K-TET.

i) In the absence of suitable candidates for appointment by transfer, the vacancies will be filled from the Ranked List prepared for Direct Recruitment. ii) Candidates must be a Full Member or an Approved Probationer in the Kerala General Education Subordinate Service as on the date of application. iii) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for each district. The list will remain in force for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. If a new list is published after one year, the old list will cease to exist. If no one is advised from the list within three years, the validity may be extended by one year or until a candidate is advised, whichever is earlier. iv) Candidates must apply to the district where the vacancy is reported. Applying to more than one district will lead to rejection of applications and disciplinary action. v) Selection is district-wise as per G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. Candidates appointed cannot transfer to another district for five years. Exceptions apply for Idukki, Kasaragod, and Wayanad districts as per G.O.(P) No. 12/96/P&ARD dated 16.03.1996. vi) As this is a by-transfer appointment, reservation rules under KS & SSR Part II Rules 14-17 are not applicable. C) Must have at least five years of service as Clerk, Typist, Attender, Office Attendant, or Full Time Menial in the General Education Department as on the date of application [G.O.(Ms.)No.8/2009/G.Edn. Dated 20.01.2009, GO(MS) No 69/2021/G.Edn dtd 16.02.2021]. Additional Notes: 1. As per G.O.(P) No 15/2020/G.Edn dated 09.10.2020, M.Ed is not mandatory in place of K-TET. 2. M.Phil qualification must be from a recognized university in Kerala or equivalent. 3. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable. 4. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the government order proving equivalence at the time of verification.
