Direct Recruitment from candidates belonging to OX and Hindu Nadar communities only (Battalion wise)

18-29. ie only candidates born between 2.1.1985 and 1.1.1996 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post.

(a) Educational: Pass in HSE (plus 2) or its equivalent. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. (b) Physical Qualifications: (i) Height : 157 cm. (ii) Eye Sight : Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses. Vision Right Eye Left Eye a. Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen 6/6 Snellen b. Near Vision 0.5 Snellen 0.5 Snellen Note:- (i) Each eye must have a full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the Eye or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification. (ii) Must be free from apparent physical defects like Knock-knee, Flat Foot, Varicose vein, Bow legs, Deformed limbs, irregular and protruding tooth, Defective speech and hearing. (c) Must qualify in any five events out of eight events specified below of the National Physical Efficiency, One Star Standard Test Sl. (i) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made for KAP III battalion. Candidates appointed to the Battalion will be allowed transfer only to the concerned District Armed Reserves as shown above. (ii) Conventional type applications for the post will be summarily rejected. Candidates shall apply only through online facility available at the Kerala Public Service Commission website viz www.keralapsc.gov.in. (iii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to these candidates. (iv) A Ranked Lists will be prepared for KAP III Battalion in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force until the commencement of the training of the candidates advised against all the NCA Turns identified for OX and Hindu Nadar communities for KAP III Battalion during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post on 27.12.2013 as per Category No 171/2010 Notification. (v) Conditions regarding age relaxation in para 2 of the General Conditions are not applicable to this selection. (vi) Physically handicapped persons are not eligible to apply in response to this notification. (vii) The height of candidates will be taken at the time of physical efficiency test and those who do not possess the prescribed height will not be admitted for the physical efficiency test. If accidents or injuries happen to a candidate while participating in the physical efficiency test, she will not be given further chance to participate in the test. (viii) The candidate should produce a Medical Certificate in original in the form prescribed hereunder certifying to their physical fitness and eyesight without glasses, at the time of physical efficiency test. The Medical Certificate should be one obtained from a Medical officer under the Government not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon.
