Direct Recruitment (from candidates belonging to Viswakarma community only)

18-43 – Only candidates born between 02.01.1970 and 01.01.1995 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in the case of Viswakarma. (Including the relaxation as per para 2 (i) of general conditions) Note:- For conditions regarding other age relaxation please see para 2 of the general conditions of Part II of this notification.

1) A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. OR A pass in Pre-degree examination conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala or any examination recognized by any such Universities as equivalent to Pre-degree examination. OR A pass in the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala or any other Examinations recognized by Government as equivalent thereto. AND 2) A pass in TTC (Tamil) Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. Note:- (i) In the absence of candidates with TTC (Tamil) of Kerala, candidates with TTC (Tamil) of Madras or candidates with Diploma in Teacher Education (Regular) of Tamilnadu Government shall be considered for appointment. (ii) B.Ed will not be accepted in lieu of TTC qualification. (iii) Question paper for the written test, if any, will be in Tamil. The candidates should answer the questions in Tamil.

Note:- i Conventional type applications will be summarily rejected. Candidates shall apply online to the Kerala Public Service Commission website www.keralapsc. gov.in ii Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued. iii Separate Ranked list will be prepared for Idukki district in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following district. Name of District Date of publication of Ranked List Category No. Idukki 18.08.2010 63/2006 iv Reservation community candidates shall submit application for the post to Idukki district office where the vacancy is existing and note the name of that district against the relevant column of the online application. v The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in GO(Ms)No.154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in GO(MS)No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. 8. SPECIAL CONCESSION REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT (i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(MS)No.50/70/PD dated 12.02.70 and G.O.(MS)No.9/78/G.Edn. dated 21.01.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base Establishment are included under the term `Jawans'. Wives of Jawans shall select 'Are you entitle to your priority' as 'yes' on online application and give the details in the space that follows. Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the Officer Commanding stating the name, military rank and military address of their husband and produce the same as and when required by the Commission (G.O.(MS)No.509/64/Edn. Dated 19.09.1964, G.O.(MS)No.614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.65 and G.O.(MS)No.243/66/Edn. Dated 27.05.66) ii First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (G.O.(MS)No.122/75/G.Edn. Dated 27.05.1975 and GO(MS)No.50/70/PD dated 12/02/1970) iii Laboratory Attenders in the departmental High Schools in the State who have rendered at least 5 years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from age limit. They should produce proper certificates from the headmaster of the school specifying the date of commencement of their service and the total service put in by them as and when required by the Commission. The candidates who claim exemption on this basis will be considered only against vacancies to be filled up by open competition on the basis of merit alone (G.O (MS) No.315/62/Edn. Dated 14.05.1962) Note:- The candidates who claim concession by virtue of any of the above reason shall select “Are you eligible for age relaxation” as “yes” on the online application and give details in the space following. Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates. Upper age limit after allowing the relaxation as per rule shall not exceed 50 years of age.
