Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste community of Kerala State only. However, applications of candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe community will be accepted in the absence of Scheduled Caste candidates.)

18-41, Candidates should be born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included). The relaxation in general conditions as per para 2(i) is included. For other age relaxation rules, refer to the general conditions in the notification (excluding para 2(i)).

1. Must have passed SSLC or equivalent examination. 2. Must possess Survey Recorder Class I or Class II qualification from the Hydrographic Branch of the Indian Navy.

1) Applications submitted by candidates not belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe communities will be rejected. No separate intimation will be given for such rejection. 2) In case of difference in caste/community claimed in the application and that recorded in the SSLC book, the candidate must produce a Gazette notification regarding the change of caste along with the caste certificate at the time of certificate verification. I. Selected candidates must undergo training within the specified period after joining. Candidates with Survey Recorder Class I qualification must undergo training for 4 years, and those with Survey Recorder Class II qualification must undergo training for 6 years in Hydrographic Survey. During the training period, they are eligible for the prescribed salary and allowances. II. a. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. b. In addition to the qualifications specified in this notification, higher qualifications which are accepted as equivalent to the prescribed educational qualification by Government orders or by the Commission as equivalent to the qualifications prescribed in the Special Rules, shall be accepted. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications must be produced when required by the Commission. Probation: Candidates appointed to this post shall be on probation for a period of 2 years within a continuous service of 3 years. Must pass the Account test for Executive Officers during the probation period. Candidates must submit their confirmation for writing the exam through their One Time Registration profile. Only those who provide confirmation will be able to download the admission ticket. Applications of candidates who do not provide confirmation within the specified time will be rejected unconditionally. Candidates must provide Aadhaar card as identity proof in their profile.
