Direct Recruitment (from candidates belonging to S.I.U.C Nadar/A.I or Muslim communities)

18-43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1970 and 01.01.1995 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in the case of S.I.U.C Nadar/A.I or Muslim Communities (Including Para 2 (i) of General Conditions) Note:- For conditions regarding other age relaxation please see para 2 of the general conditions except para 2(i).

1. A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. 2. A pass in the Certificate of Physical Education issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or a pass in the Vocational Higher Secondary Certificate Course in Physical Educations conducted by the Board of Vocational Higher Secondary Educations, Kerala or its equivalent or any degree in Physical Education (Regular Course) such as B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed etc. conferred or recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala. [G.O(MS)No.48/2001/G.Edn. Dated 9.2.2001]. Ex -Servicemen of Army/Navy/Air Force who possess SSLC or its equivalent and any one of the following qualifications can also apply for the post. “Physical Training Course of the Armed Forces” (The Assistant Instructors Basic Course in Physical Education). OR The Army Physical Training Corps Instructors Course OR Naval Physical Training Corps Instructors Course OR Air Force Ground Training Instructors Course.

Note:- Physically Handicapped persons are not eligible to apply for this post. 8. SPEICAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O(MS) No.50/70/PD dated 12.2.70 and G.O(MS) No.9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.1.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base Establishment are included under the term `Jawans'. Wives of Jawans should select “Are you entitled to any priority” as 'yes' on On-line application and give the details in the space that follows . Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the Officer Commanding stating the name, military rank and military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission (G.O(MS)No.509/64/Edn. Dated 19.9.1964, G.O (MS)No.614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.65 and G.O (MS) No.243/66/Edn. Dated 27.5.66). ii) NDS Instructors who have put in not less than one year service as NDS Instructor will be given age relaxation to the extent of their service as NDS Instructor subject to a a maximum period of 5 years (GO. (MS) 156/67/Edn dated 10.4.1967). They should produce proper certificates from the authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission. iii) First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as teachers (G.O(MS) No.122/75/G.Edn. Dated 27.05.1975).
