Age Limit
18-39, only candidates born between 02/01/1975 and 01/01/1996 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post. (including the relaxation mentioned in para 2 (i) of the General Conditions). (For other conditions regarding age relaxation please See Para 2 of the General Conditions) Note: Persons who have undergone successful Training in the Artificial Limb Centre attached to the Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram under the Half a Million Job Programme will be eligible for relaxation of five years in the upper age limit.
Qualifications
1) Pass in SSLC 2) Candidates who have completed Certificate Course in Prosthetics & Orthotics conducted in the Institution recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India. OR Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Prosthetics and Orthotics conducted by institution recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India In the absence of 1&2 above 3) Candidates who have successfully completed ITI Trade in Carpentry, Sheetmetal and Fitter on appointment they will be considered trainee for one year and they will be given the salary of minimum of scale of pay of the post.
Notes
The above vacancies are now in existence. The Ranked list published as per this notification will be valid until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the said reserved communities as unfilled due to the paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published on 20.10.2009 for the post. Rule 10 (a)ii of Part II of the KS & SSR is applicable.
