18-36. Candidates should be born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included). Usual age relaxation will be given to SC/ST and other backward communities. (For other age relaxation conditions, see Part 2, Paragraph 2 of the General Conditions in this notification). Note: Regular employees in the said establishment who have acquired the prescribed qualifications are eligible for age relaxation up to the length of their service, provided that the upper age limit shall not exceed 50 years.

1. Must have passed SSLC or equivalent examination. 2. Must possess any one of the following qualifications: (i) Must have passed Sections 'A' and 'B' of the Institution of Engineers (India) Civil Engineering Membership Examination. (ii) Three-year Civil Engineering Diploma of the Kerala Government or a Diploma recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto.

1. The vacancies reported are currently existing. The Ranked list prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years. If a new ranked list is published for the same post after one year, the current list will cease to be in force. Recruitment will be made from this list for the vacancies shown above and for any additional vacancies reported during the validity of the list. 2. Any recommendation for appointment to the above post, if found to be false later, will be liable for cancellation by the Kerala Public Service Commission. If the appointment recommendation is cancelled, the appointing authority shall terminate the service of the candidate. However, the termination of service shall be within the probation period or 240 days after joining duty, whichever is earlier. 3. As per G.O (P) No.01/13/SJD dated 03.01.2013, 3% of the vacancies are reserved for differently-abled candidates (Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy, Hearing Impairment). 4. K.S & S.S.R Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. 5. Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications should produce the Government Order proving the equivalency at the time of certificate verification. 6. Candidates must ensure their correct caste/community is entered in the application. If the caste/community differs from that recorded in the SSLC book, a Gazette notification regarding the change must be produced along with the Non-Creamy Layer/Caste certificate at the time of verification. 7. Candidates who submit applications with false claims regarding education/experience and later provide confirmation for the exam but fail to appear will face disciplinary action as per KPSC Rules of Procedure Rule 22. 8. Probation: Every person appointed to this post shall be on probation for a period of two years within a continuous period of three years from the date of joining duty. 9. Application instructions: Candidates must register via 'One Time Registration' on www.keralapsc.gov.in. Photos uploaded must be taken after 31/12/2011 with the name and date of taking the photo clearly marked at the bottom. The photo is valid for 10 years. No application fee. Candidates must keep a soft copy/print out of the application for future use. Applications found contrary to notification conditions will be rejected summarily.
