18- 43. Only candidates born between 02/01/1970 and 01.01.1995 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post.(including the relaxation as per Para 2(i) of General Conditions). Note:- In the case of adult members of Scheduled caste converted to OX and their children, the upper age limit will be 45 years (i.e between 01.01.1995 and 2.1.1968) For conditions regarding other age relaxation please see para 2 of the General Conditions except Para 2(i)

A Degree in Kannada and B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognised by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Kannada awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala.(if such title has been declared as equivalent to part III of degree) and Certificate in Language Teacher's Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. Note: (i) Post Graduates in Kannada are also eligible to apply for this post provided they have B.Ed/B.T/L.T qualification. (ii) B.Ed should be in the concerned subject i.e Kannada. (iii) Disciplines in which BA/MA and B.Ed degree were obtained should be mentioned in brackets. (iv) Those candidates who secured B.Ed/BT. Degree from the Universities outside Kerala should note in the application form the number and date of relevant orders declaring the said degree as equivalent to those prescribed for this selection.

Note: i) Conventional type application for the above post will be summarily rejected. Candidates can apply on-line only on www.keralapsc.gov.in ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to such candidates. iii) Separate Ranked List will be prepared for Kasaragod district in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community but remain unfilled due to the paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following district. iv) Applications shall be sent to Kasaragod district only in response to this notification. v) The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS)No.154/71/PD, dated 27.5.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(Ms)No.4/61/PD, dated 2.1.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified.
