(23-40). Candidates should be born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.1999 (both dates included). Usual age relaxation is applicable for other backward communities and SC/ST candidates. (See Part II of the General Conditions for age relaxation rules).

1) Post Graduate Degree in Physics with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. Note: SC/ST and differently-abled candidates are eligible for 5% marks relaxation for Post Graduate Degree as per G.O.(Ms).No.288/15/Gl.Edn dated 13.11.2015. 2) i. B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. ii. In the absence of persons with B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. iii. In the absence of persons with B.Ed Degree as specified in items (i) and (ii) above, persons with B.Ed Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. iv. In the absence of persons with B.Ed Degree, candidates who have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) with not less than 50% marks in the Post Graduate Degree shall be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who have acquired Ph.D./M.Phil. or Junior Research Fellowship/National Eligibility Test. Teachers appointed under this provision must acquire B.Ed Degree at their own expense within 5 years from the date of joining service. v. Candidates who have acquired M.Ed Degree in the concerned subject after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed qualification. 3) Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Non-Vocational Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or by any agency authorized by the Government of Kerala.

Note: 4% of the reported vacancies are reserved for differently-abled candidates as per G.O.(P)No.7/2022/SJD dated 28.10.2022. - Additional marks will be given for higher qualifications like Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship in the concerned subject. (M.Phil: 2 marks, Ph.D: 4 marks, M.Phil & Ph.D: 5 marks, Post Doctoral Fellowship: 2 marks). - KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 a(ii) is applicable. - Explanation: 'Non-Vocational Teacher (Junior)' means a post where teaching is required for 15 periods per week in each subject. - Probation: A person appointed to this post shall be on probation for a period of two years within a continuous period of three years of service. - Candidates must submit their application through the official website www.keralapsc.gov.in. - Candidates must keep a soft copy/print out of the application for future use. - If a written/OMR/Online test is conducted, candidates must submit confirmation through their profile. Only those who submit confirmation will be issued admission tickets. - Candidates must provide Aadhaar card as identity proof in their profile. - Any false claim regarding qualification, experience, etc., will lead to disqualification and disciplinary action by the KPSC.
