Direct Recruitment (Only from candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) community). In the absence of Scheduled Caste candidates. applications of Scheduled Tribe candidates will also be considered .

1. Masters Degree in the subject concerned with not less than 50% marks or its equivalent and good academic record 2. Must have passed a Comprehensive Test in the subject concerned specifically conducted for the purpose by UGC or any agency duly constituted by the state government in this behalf. When qualifications are being equal, preference shall be given to those candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam. (G.O (P) No.41/94/H. Edn dated 21.03.1994)

Note:-The above vacancy is now in existence. The Ranked list published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidate is advised and appointed against the vacancy earmarked for the above mentioned community that remained unfilled due to the paucity of candidates during the currency of the ranked list published on 30.05.2016 for the post (Cat No.575/2012, Gazette Date: 30.11.2012) .This is the seventh NCA notification for the post owing to non availability of qualified candidates belonging to the above community as per the following NCA Notifications. Note: Applications of candidates belonging to communities other than the above will be absolutely rejected. Individual rejection memo will not be sent to them. Note:- In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders, or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for the post, in the Special Rules or qualifications found acceptable by the Commission in cases where acceptance of equivalent qualifications is provided for in the Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission. ii) Candidates who have acquired non-qualifying degrees viz .Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship will be awarded weightage marks provided that such non-qualifying degrees shall be in the subjects pertaining to the basic qualification stipulated for the post. Weightage marks for Non-qualifying degrees for ranking will be awarded as detailed below. Non-Qualifying M.Phil - 2 Marks Non - Qualifying Ph.D - 4 Marks Both M.Phil & Ph.D (Non-Qualifying) - 5 Marks Post Doctoral Fellowship - 2 Marks iii) Non-Qualifying degree means the additional qualifications which are earned apart from the qualifications insisted on as essential qualifications for the post. If Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship is reckoned as the essential qualification for the post, weightage marks will not be awarded for it. Weightage marks will be awarded only to those non-qualifying degrees which are claimed in the application and which are acquired on or before the last date for receipt of applications. iv) Candidates who have obtained Ph.D Degree in the subject concerned are exempted from passing the NET examination. (G.O.(P)No.86/07/H.Edn dated 19.06.2007) v) For recruitment to the above post, Degrees awarded by the Universities recognized by UGC alone shall be considered vi) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. vii) Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned. Probation:- Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Special Instructions to Candidates: (a) In the case of difference in Caste/Community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette Notification in this regard, along with Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification. (b) Candidates are required to acquaint themselves with the instructions given in the notification as Part II, General Conditions before submitting application for the post. Applications which are not submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down in the General Conditions are liable to be rejected. (c) Appropriate disciplinary action as per Rule 22 of the Kerala Public Service Commission Rules of Procedure shall be initiated against those candidates who submit applications with bogus claims of qualification regarding education, experience etc. and are liable to be disqualified for being considered for a particular post or debarment from applying to the Commission either permanently or for any period or the invalidation of their answer scripts or products in a written/practical test or the initiation of criminal or other proceedings against them or their removal or dismissal from office or the ordering of any other disciplinary action against them if they have already been appointed, or any one or more of the above.
