Candidates must have been born on or before 01.01.1999. There is no upper age limit for selection by transfer.
Qualifications
1. Master's Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala. 2. i) B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any University in Kerala. ii) In the absence of persons with B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. iii) In the absence of persons with B.Ed Degree as specified in items (i) and (ii) above, any B.Ed Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala. 3. Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Non-Vocational Teacher conducted by the Government of Kerala or by any agency authorized by the Government of Kerala in the concerned subject.
Notes
1. Candidates who have acquired M.Ed degree recognized by any University in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed qualification. 2. Additional marks will be given for Non-Qualifying degrees (Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship) in the concerned subject. Non-Qualifying M.Phil: 2 marks, Non-Qualifying Ph.D: 4 marks, M.Phil & Ph.D: 5 marks, Post Doctoral Fellowship: 2 marks. If Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship is considered as basic qualification, no additional marks will be awarded. 3. Equivalent qualifications and higher qualifications will be accepted as per government orders/commission decisions. Candidates must produce relevant government orders when required. 4. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 a(ii) is applicable. 5. Exemptions from SET: College Lecturers, HSSST, NET/JRF holders, Ph.D/M.Phil/M.Ed holders, and those who have submitted Ph.D thesis/passed M.Phil are exempted as per specific conditions. 6. SC/ST and differently-abled candidates are eligible for 5% marks relaxation in Post Graduation as per G.O.(Ms).No.288/15/Gl.Edn dated 13.11.2015. 7. Explanation: Non-Vocational Teacher means a post where teaching is required for 15 periods or more per week in each subject. 8. Probation: Two years of probation within a continuous period of three years of service.
