Age Limit
18-50. Candidates must be born between 02.01.1971 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included). The upper age limit shall not exceed 50 (fifty) years including military service. Note: The upper age limit shall not exceed 50 (fifty) years under any circumstances including military service. For details regarding age relaxation, see paragraph (2) of Part II of the General Conditions in this notification.
Qualifications
(i) Must have passed 7th standard. However, should not have acquired any degree. (ii) Must be an Ex-serviceman. Note: 1. Candidates who have acquired any degree as per the qualifications prescribed for this post are not eligible to apply. If it is found that a candidate has suppressed the fact of having acquired a degree and has been selected, the application will be summarily rejected, their name will be removed from the rank list, and disciplinary/punitive action will be taken against them at any stage of the selection process. As per GO (P) No.05/2018/P&ARD dated 19/04/2018, Ex-servicemen who have passed SSLC or equivalent and have not less than 15 years of military service (Army/Navy/Air Force) and have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or equivalent certificate issued by the Navy/Air Force are eligible to be considered for lower posts like LGS.
Notes
Notes: (i) The selection is based on the amendment of the special rules for the post of Last Grade Servants as per G.O (p) No. 12/2016/P & ARD dated 04.06.2016. (ii) These vacancies are currently existing. A separate rank list will be prepared for Pathanamthitta district. The rank list prepared will be in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum of three years from the date of coming into force. If a new rank list is published for the same post after one year, the rank list prepared under this notification will cease to be in force from that date. Appointments will be made from the said list to the vacancies shown above and to any further vacancies reported by the NCC/Sainik Welfare departments for special recruitment for Scheduled Tribes during the validity of the list. If no one is recommended for appointment from the list within the maximum period of 3 years, the validity of the list will be extended until one year or until someone is selected for appointment, whichever is earlier. (iii) Candidates must apply only to the district where the vacancy is recorded in this notification and the name of the district must be recorded in the specified column of the application. If a candidate applies to more than one district and is selected, the applications will be summarily rejected and disciplinary action will be taken against them. (iv) The selection under this notification is in accordance with the special provisions in G.O(Ms) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A person who gets an appointment in a district from the district-wise rank list cannot be transferred to another district within five years from the date of commencement of continuous service. After five years, any transfer to another district will be subject to the provisions of GO (Ms) No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. Those currently in government service in the same post in one district cannot apply for the same post in another district. However, they can apply for a higher post. (v) Appointments to vacancies in the Head of Department's office (Headquarters vacancy) will be made from the district-wise rank list. As per the government order (MS) 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971, the appointment to headquarters vacancies will start from Thiruvananthapuram district. No separate consent letter is required for such appointment. (vi) (a) As per G.O.(P)No.399/77/GAD dated 26.11.1977, service rendered in Border Security Force (BSF), Defence Security Corps (DSC), Assam Rifles, General Reserve Engineering Force (GREF), Jammu and Kashmir Militia, Lok Sahayak Sena is not considered as military service. (b) As per G.O.(P)No.271/80/GAD dated 03.07.1980, Territorial Army personnel are not eligible to apply for the post of Last Grade Servants. Probation: Candidates selected for the post will be on probation for one year within a continuous service of 3 years. 2. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable to this post regarding qualifications. 3. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the government order proving the equivalence at the time of verification. 4. If the caste/community claimed by the candidate in the application differs from that recorded in the SSLC book, a gazette notification regarding the caste change must be produced at the time of document verification. (b) Candidates with Aadhar card must provide Aadhar card as identity proof in their profile. (c) If a written/OMR/online examination is conducted, candidates must confirm their appearance for the exam through their One Time Registration profile. Only those who confirm will be able to generate and download the admission ticket in the last 15 days before the exam date. Failure to confirm within the stipulated time will result in summary rejection of the application. Details regarding the confirmation period and admission ticket availability will be published in the exam calendar. Notification will be sent to the candidate's profile and registered mobile number. (d) Candidates who confirm their appearance for the exam after incorrectly recording qualifications like education, work experience, etc., will be liable for punishment as per KPSC Rules of Procedure Rule 22, even if they appear or do not appear for the exam. 11. The provisions in paragraphs 2, 3, and 25 of the General Conditions (excluding the rules regarding 3(c) of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules in paragraph 25) are not applicable to this selection. 12. Appointments will be made based on the rank in the list prepared based on this notification, in accordance with the provisions of government orders dated 17.01.1976 (G.O.(P) No. 21/76/PD) and 22.01.1994 (G.O.(P) 25/94/GAD) regarding special reservation for Scheduled Tribes, and subject to the special rules that may arise from time to time and the rules 3(c), 17(a), 17(b) of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958.
