22- 50. Only candidates born between 02.01.1974 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. (GO(P) No.4/2023/HEDN dated 11.04.2023.) (Age relaxation as per general condition 2(i) is not applicable for this post)
Qualifications
1. Degree of Master of Law with least 55% marks . 2. Experience at the Bar for a period of not less than 3 years. 3. Must have passed a Comprehensive Test in the subject concerned specifically conducted for the purpose by UGC or any agency duly constituted by the state government in this behalf. When qualifications are equal, preference shall be given to those candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam.
Notes
(i) The above vacancies are now in existence. The Ranked list of selected candidates published by the Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies noted above and also against the vacancies that may be reported to the Commission during the period of currency of the Ranked list. (ii) 4% of the total vacancies reported for the post shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates with disabilities as specified vide GO(P) No.5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023. [Please click the link to see the Government Order and Medical Certificate in this regard] Link: Present Order for Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 Section 34 Note regarding weightage marks: Candidates who have acquired non-qualifying degrees viz .Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship will be awarded weightage marks provided that such non-qualifying degrees shall be in the subjects pertaining to the basic qualification stipulated for the post. Weightage marks for Non-qualifying degrees for ranking will be awarded as detailed below. Non-Qualifying M.Phil - 2 Marks Non - Qualifying Ph.D - 4 Marks Both M.Phil & Ph.D (Non-Qualifying) - 5 Marks Post Doctoral Fellowship - 2 Marks Additional notes: - Non-Qualifying degree means the additional qualifications which are earned apart from the qualifications insisted on as essential qualifications for the post. If Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship is reckoned as the essential qualification for the post, weightage marks will not be awarded for it. Weightage marks will be awarded only to those non-qualifying degrees which are claimed in the application and which are acquired on or before the last date for receipt of applications - Candidates who have obtained Ph.D Degree in the subject concerned are exempted from passing the NET examination. (G.O.(P)No.86/07/H.Edn dated 19.06.2007) - Experience certificate as Advocate issued by Bar council of Kerala or concerned Judicial officer shall be produced. - For SC, ST, OBC (Non Creamy Layer) & Differently Abled candidates, minimum 50% marks for Masters degree shall be sufficient. Dated 13/04/2018) - For recruitment to various posts under these rules, Degrees awarded by the Universities recognized by UGC alone shall be considered - KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. - Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned. - Probation:- Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years
