District wise Idukki – 1

Recruitment by transfer from among the employees who have completed the prescribed service and who are working as Clerk/Typist/Attender/Peon in the General Education Department. The applicant should be an approved probationer/Full member of the above Subordinate Service as on the date of application.

(A) A Bachelors Degree with Mathematics or Statistics as Main Subject and B.Ed/B.T in the concerned subjects conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. Note:- (i) Post Graduates in Mathematics/Statistic with B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject are also be considered for this post. (ii) Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education will also be treated as equivalent to Degree for the above purpose. (iii) Graduates with Physics as Main and Mathematics as subsidiary and teaching of Mathematics as one of the subjects for B.Ed. can also apply. Their applications will be considered only in the absence of Graduates in Mathematics/Statistics. (iv) The candidates who have acquired B.Sc Ed in Physics – Chemistry – Mathematics stream conducted by the Regional Institute of Mysore of NCERT are also eligible to apply for the post (GO (P) No 117/13/G Edn dtd 30/3/13). (v) Candidates applying to the post should have sufficient knowledge in Tamil which will be tested at the time of interview. Question papers for the written test if any will be in Tamil. The candidates should answer the question in Tamil. (vi) The disciplines in which B.Sc/M.Sc and B.Ed Degree were obtained should be mentioned in brackets in the application form. (vii) Those candidates who secured B.Ed/B.T Degree from the Universities outside Kerala should note in the application form, the number and date of relevant orders declaring the said degree as equivalent to those prescribed for this selection. The copies of such order shall be produced before the commission when it is called for. NB Rule 10(a) ii of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable for this post. (B) The candidates should have service not less than 5 years as Clerk/Typist/Attender/Peon in the General Education Department as on the date of application.

(i) In the absence of suitable candidates, the vacancies set apart for By Transfer recruitment shall be filled up by the candidates from the Ranked List prepared for Direct recruitment. (ii) The applicant should be an approved probationer/Full member of the Kerala General Education subordinate service as on the date of application. (iii) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for above district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked list thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the above vacancy and those are reported during the currency of the list. In case no candidate is advised from the ranked list till the expiry of the period of three years, the duration of the ranked list shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier. (iv) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O. (Ms)No.154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS)No.4/61/PD, dated 02.1.1961. But as per the GO(P) No 12/96/P&ARD dated 16.3.1996 the condition of 5 years service is not applicable for transfer to Idukki, Wayanad and Kasaragod districts. The concession will be available only for getting transfer to these districts but not for getting transfer out of these districts. And this concession will be granted only once in the career of a Govt Servant. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (v) Candidates should submit the application for this post to the concerned district office mentioned above where the vacancy is existing and should note the name of that district against the relevant column of the online application. (vi) The rules regarding the reservation of appointment contemplated in Rules 14 to 17 in Part II of the KS & SSR are not applicable to recruitment by transfer.
