18-43. Only candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2006 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. [including the relaxation as per para 2(i) of the General Conditions].

(1) 1. A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent. OR A pass in Pre-degree examination conducted by any of the Universities in Kerala or any examination recognized by any such Universities in Kerala as equivalent to Pre-degree examination. OR A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala or any other Examinations recognized by Government as equivalent thereto. 2. A pass in TTC (Kannada) Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. Note :- As per G.O(RT)No.3280/13/G.Edn dated 05.08.2013, the TTC qualification has been renamed as D.Ed (Diploma in Teacher Education) and subsequently as per G.O(RT)No.1700/18/G.Edn. dated 05.05.2018 and G.O(RT)No.2009/18/G.Edn dated 30.05.2018 again renamed as D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education). The candidates who possess D.Ed/D.El.Ed qualification shall also be considered for the selection. 3. Must have passed Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET Categry -I) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Exemption: 1 Candidates who have passed K-TET Category II/ Category III are also eligible to apply for this post (Circular No. 1866829/J3/17/G.Edn dated 09.03.2018) 2. Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D in the respective subject/ M.Ed. in any subject are exempted from acquiring K-TET (G.O.(P)No. 145/16/G.Edn. Dated 30.08.2016, G.O.(P)No.206/16/G.Edn. Dated 08.12.2016 and G.O (P)No.15/2020/G.Edn dated 09.10.2020) 3. Candidates who have passed CTET Primary stage and CTET Elementary stage are excluded from K-TET Cat. I & K-TET Cat. II respectively. But CTET(Primary & Elementary Stage) qualification shall not be considered as an alternative qualification for K-TET Cat. III and Cat. IV(GO (P) No.6/2024/G.Edn dated 01.02.2024).

i) Candidates can apply online only by One Time Registration on www.keralapsc.gov.in. Applications submitted in any other manner will be summarily rejected. ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to such candidates. iii) Separate Ranked lists will be prepared for the above reservation group of communities for Kasargod district in pursuance of this notification. Ranked Lists thus prepared and published as per this notification shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above communities, but remain unfilled due to the paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following date. (iv) Candidates should submit application for this post to Kasargod district only where the vacancies are existing for their respective community and note the name of the district in the relevant column of the application. (v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O. (MS)No.154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS)No.4/61/PD, dated 02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. (i) M.Phil in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala. (ii) In the absence of candidates with TTC (Kannada) of Kerala, candidates with TCH (Mysore) shall be considered for appointment. (iii) B.Ed certificate will not be considered in lieu of TTC (Kannada) qualification. (iv) If there is a written (Descriptive /OMR) test the Question paper for the written test will be in Kannada. Candidate should answer the questions in Kannada. In the case of OMR answer script, answers are to be marked as instructed. (v) KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable for selection to this post. (vi) In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient for the post. The copy of the Government orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced as and when required by the Commission.
